In regards to 1D# [redacted] - My company contracts with private companies to check there parking lots to makesure there aren't any unauthorized vehicles parked there, the only vehicles that are permitted are the ones thathave parking permits[redacted] had parked her vehicle in the lot at [redacted] *** [redacted] with no permit on her vehicle, she stated thatshe had it in her glove box and forgot to display it.The fee's for towing a vehicle from a private lot are $165.00, $for tow and $for difficult because thereare no keys which makes it difficult to tow.Damage: Our Company takes no responsibility for damage to her vehicle because we did cause damage I believethat [redacted] was very upset in regards to her vehicle being towed and then charged because she forgot to putthe permit in her window.In regards to refusal to accept credit card - this day was a Sunday and there was a problem with our credit cardmachine and the person who was helping her out had no authority or no how to call the merchant for the machineto find out what the problem was, and that's why she was pointed to the ATM in our office which was explained toher.In regards to our authority to tow her vehicle we have permission by the owner and property manager to tow anyvehicle that does not display a permit in the proper place, which I explained in the paragraph above and aftertowing a vehicle we call all vehicles that we tow off private lots to the no emergency Center to let them knowwhat vehicle we towed from which lot and they give us there IBM# which in this case was #149.We are very sorry that [redacted] had a bad experience with our company it's not our goal, we were doing whatwe were hired to do, unfortunately in this business no one is ever really happy having their vehicle towed.SINCERELY, [redacted] ***

First of all, I spoke with my apartment managersThey said they did not contact to the towing company to tow my carThey usually leaves a memo that said to remove the car by the certain time because there are visitors who are allowed to park in the lot temporaryAlso my car was towed in Sunday morning at 9:A.MThe office does not open on SundayI doubt about someone would call the towing company in that early morning because the parking lot was almost empty and it was not a reserved parking lot. Also, when I asked the towing company's insurance information at their office, it was rejectedThey should provide their insurance information when there is such a damage claimThe two estimations of fixing my car was about $900. Lastly, my friend happened to be towed by the same company last MayI accompanied with himThe company refused to accept the credit card by saying that they only accept cashHe had to withdraw some cash from ATM with extra fees too
