Starting Friday July 24, 2020 myself, Maina ***, with my husband and child have become new apartment residents. First off, our office manager *** had moved us and given us keys to the incorrect unit signed for which became a concern considering we initially were told we had to do a viewing of our own unit for inspection before officially signing a lease and moving forward so with that we were viewed the wrong apartment which gave false inspection and we're told we could not change for the unit viewed. The actual unit signed for which could not be changed to the one we preferred and already went through the process of inspecting was very inadequate, walking in the heat was immense mind that it's mid July in the south and I myself had mentioned to them I am pregnant and do have a toddler child so conditions became unbearable while moving furniture and belongings. The AC was immediately non functioning and the ceiling fans were not doing much help with circulation of air. Addition to that there was no running hot water and there is current water damage from the water heater itself. For two days following we had to endure the conditions because no onsite 24hour maintenance and the property office is closed for weekends. We were provided an emergency maintenance line which only gave us a machine to leave voicemails and no response back within those 72 hours which we called through the days complaining and updating them of the issues and our situation. Myself had emailed multiple times in regards to how this has effected my family as I have become overly stressed from the heat and my toddler having to bathe in cold water which should be unacceptable from anyone to have to deal with as these are supposedly brand new apartments. Today, Monday the 27th of July 2020 I had got in contact with *** in response to the miserable weekend and she seemed to sympathize with us and tried to remedy what she could herself although no one she claims to have gotten in contact with to maintenance ever came to aid.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment For the amount of all the expenses made to be comfortable with having to make do with what we had for going on four days a request Of reimbursement and prorated rent for the upcoming month of August. If no repair companies get in contact within 24 hours the property, I will route to calling my own outside services which the property should pay for as remedy to having us wait in these times and if not I request a change of unit that is thoroughly Inspected for us to move into.

The business and management of Fieldstone Village Apartments of Clarksville,TN have taken action in resolving our issues and has been thorough in accommodating our needs for compensation for bills and rents as well as a whole new unit and new hiring of onsite maintenance. As well as sincere apology and acknowledgment of the extent and inconvenience the circumstances has put us through for the days of July 24th, 2020 onto July 27th, 2020.
