Horrible service and communications
I have tried for over a month to communicate with them regarding my points transfer from 1 year to the next. Sometimes you have to wait > 1 hour on hold. I also sent email requests. They asked for email proof, which I provided logging our communications. After receiving no follow up communications via email for > 15 days I had to call again to ask for next steps. After spending 40 plus mins with one agent, they finally transferred me to someone else, who effectively said that I need to communicate via email. Even after repeatedly explaining that email correspondence has been tried with no results, they insisted that I need to wait till they respond. That sounds quite unreasonable when we have already waited > 14 days. I asked for a manager and they said that they are not allowed to transfer calls to their manager. The agent who said this is Collette. But she was repeatedly putting me on hold and asking for advice from her manager (5 times during the call). But still telling me that I am not allowed to speak to her manager.
Ultimately = no resolution, customer service staff incompetent or untrained, no manager on duty (or not being transferred to), no method of escalation of a customer service issue, no communications method or channel provided.

Unable to get reservations
I have done several trips to Cabo through FAVC, all good experiences (except when the U of Tenn had a spring break trip and destroyed the resort). Now I am trying to book an Anniversary trip to Cozemul and for 2 weeks straight CANNOT get anybody to call me back and I have set on hold for hours at a time trying to get my plans solidified. My rep has also tried helping me with NO results. I am done, for the money I have spent, I can go somewhere else and just plan the trip. We bought this to insure that we took trips, supposed to be easy and convenient, is nothing but frustrating and aggravating now. I am now wanting to cancel my membership, but am hearing the horror stories on the other post.

I want people to know that they will pressure you and pressure you waste your vacation hours sitting in an office to SCAM you! DON"T DO IT!!!!!

We have been members for about years now and I have no complaints We have made four visits to Cabo San Lucas and they are not only accommodating, but they go out of their way to please We also went to Cancun once, however, it was a rainy week and since we were with little children, we decided to leave a few days early In we took people to the Cabo location for 7-day vacations and celebration of our 40th Anniversary They went out of their way to treat our guest amazingly One of the nights we had an Anniversary celebration on the beach and party My son dealt with most of the arrangements, and not only was the set up beautifully done, but anything that we had asked for, they went out of their way to provide, inclusive of an altar on the beach for a Catholic ceremony It was a fabulous vacation without any negative issues at all The golf drivers, the men at the pool, the staff in its entirety were above and beyond My husband and I went back years ago and I arrived upset because of an incident at the car rental place The staff knew I was upset and one of the staff members went out of they way to order rose petals on our bed and in our tub We went back with another couple two months ago and I had wanted one of the newer rooms, but had gotten an older room that had not been updated as yet and the Club staff went out of their way to not only find us another room (and they were fully booked), but gave us a room that was held for Elite Members, but was available It was amazing and our vacation, once again was top notch The grounds are perfect, the pool is fabulous, and the food is A+ Highly recommend the Cabo location of the FAVC

I am being billed for dues and maintenance fees that I do not oweResort Recovery Solutions has reported me to the credit bureaus I was delinquent on my membership fees to Fiesta Americana Account was turned over to Resort Recovery Solutions I paid the amount due on April 25, Fiesta Americana has confirmed receipt of the paymentThey also confirmed that my membership was cancelled as of Resort Recovery Solutions is billing me an additional $ 3,for the years and I contacted Fiesta Americana on June 6, to try to resolve this, and spoke with MarcellaThe Collections Mgrwas not in, but Marcella promised to get back to me the same day I have not heard back, and the $ 3,has been reported to the credit bureaus

Dishonest sales practices In January 2018 I purchased additional points in the Fiesta Americana Vacation Club. The statements of the sales staff and contract noted a 15% additional discount (15% off of normal stated FAVC rates or buying while at Live Aqua-contract included Live Aqua points chart showing 15% discount) for booking reservations at Live Aqua. FAVC refuses to honor it's contacted agreement. The points chart provided with the contract was a fraudulent document. FAVC refuses to honor the point character attached to the contract.

Fiesta Americana advertises that there are a number of resorts in their time share program Availablity is almost non-existence
I purchased a timeshare through Fiesta Americana a number of years agoI am having difficulty booking any resort There are US resort, in Mexico, and four elsewhere I have been pursuing availability at a US report since April 5th of this year at the resorts on Marco, Captiva Islands, or Sanibel Islands as these are advertised available reports I contacted FAVC as soon as the window opened to book these types of properties and was told they were "full" Come to find out that availability on Marco, Captiva Islands, or Sanibel Islands only occurs if someone cancels that owns the property

They said they would honor the request and cancel the contract after having to involve the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Agency Department of Conciliation Services for Foreign Residents in August In October, I get a notice that my entire membership was cancelled, that I owed money on my cancelled contract and that they were going to report me to credit agencies So now after months, I am still fighting with them when I adhered to their contract and they are ignoring it What the heck? STAY AWAY STAY FAR AWAY - Fiesta Americana has no business ethics or honor - bad company!

Purchased FAVC membership in July The information provided in the sales pitch DOES NOT match what we are now experiencing as we try to use it
We were given misinformation at the sales meeting on the member benefits of this vacation club This took place on 7/10/at Live Aqua - CancunThere are major limitations that were not shared and after numerous phone calls to their toll-free number, we are still being charged for a membership that is not what we paid for The generalizations of being able to use the membership points at all Hiltons for reduced room rates and exchanging points for any of the RCI (an affiliate of theirs) properties is totally untrueI have spoken to numerous reps on their reservations line and am finding the RCI benefit is very limited (can't even book an RCI resort in Cancun, Alcapulco, etc.) and not what was shared at the sales meeting Also the Hilton comment made by the salesperson is totally not true as you only have a limited number of Hilton

FANTASTIC RESORTS!!! We have been members for years, and have stayed at Los Cabos (just came back from day stay), Acapulco, Puerto Vallarto, and CancunUnits and propertybare well-maintained, and service is fantasticWe are world travelers, and have stayed at star resorts in Europe, Tahiti, Thailand, and Hawaii as well as many resorts in California and Florida, and these deserve star, A+ ratingsWe are also members of Grand Hilton Vacation Cluband Fiesta Americana has better properties and MUCH better service and amenities

Fiesta Americana failed to finish a transfer of ownership of this account and now are trying to collect maintenance fees from me

In Jan I called Fiesta Americana to cancel our contract and sent them the required letterUnauthorized fees were charged to our credit card on Jan + Jan After several phone calls to them the charges were credited late FebUnauthorized charges again appeared on March 22+for the same feesI called Fiesta Americana on March and was assured that fee would be removed and the credit card not used for anymore charges from them

We recently came back from vacation. Reviewed all documents now that we are settled at home. Decided that the vacation club was not for us.
