This is in regards to case ***When customer came in initially it was not discovered at this time that we didn't accept their specific insuranceThey had not been seen in this office previous to this appointment and this was new insurance to what we previously had on fileWhen they came in
at a later date for another appointment it was then realized that we were not in network with their insurance and they were informed of this before being seenThe response by them was you have seen us before and got paidActually, no we had not had a response from insurance yet and had not been paidThey continued to be seen although they were informed we don't accept their insuranceOnce insurance started responding they were informed there was a balance due to us not being in networkAt this time, they stated they don't recall being informed of being out of network and don't feel they should be responsible for any of the balanceThey wanted to say we have them confused with someone elseTwo office employees recall them being told at the later appointment that we are out of network with their particular insurance and the response that was made by them. They were told we can't adjust off the expense of the vaccinesWhen discussed in person it was stated again of previous discussions and we can't adjust off the expense of the vaccines, however adjustments were made to the accountWe had told them at that time and in a previous phone conversation we were willing to adjust the bill due to the circumstancesThis was done when they came in face to face and they paid the $The original bill before discounts were given was $They were also informed at this time that we would work with them on payments and it didn't have to be paid in full at this time Thanks Tina W***, CPC Office Manager Garg Pediatrics LLC S Hutchison Ave Muncie, IN 47303-

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The office unfortunately maintains the impossibility that they have made an errorThey claim that we were informed that our office visits would not be covered by our insuranceWe continue to insist that there is no chance that we would ever proceed with well visits if this information was communicated to usIt defies common sense that anyone would knowingly continue with a well visit after having been informed that the visits would not be covered by insuranceThe office did indeed lower the billBut we should not be responsible for any of the balance since we were not aware that the visits would not be covered by insuranceThe office has no documentation of the alleged conversationThere is no way for us as the clients to defend ourselves from the ramifications of whatever they think they told usWe were told to pay the balance they thought to be fair, and that they would set us up with payments if necessary--or they would turn the matter over to a collections agency.
