As discussed with the person sending the complaint, here are the details as follows The bike is an open course which means that traffic is allowed on the course and bike must pay attention to the trafficWe are not allowed to close the course due to the cost and location The gravel
on the course was for feet that was clearly told to the applicant prior to the event in emails The course was under major construction and they were able to repave the course except for the feet which I considered a blessing with all the construction going on The other complaint was that there were ruts in the road and I as a race director have no ability to repair or repave roads They are what they are and everyone has the same course to compete on.The swim course is a lap systems since the day it was created The person complaining should have known if he looked at the maps and the swim course I have many people who love this course He may not like it but it is the course The transition area is not as well done as the Ironman events but this event is more family friendly and therefore, not so strict We also don't have check in and out for the transition area like Ironman because we charge only about 20% of what they charge Just because we don't have check in and out does not mean we do not have security The Rochester Police have there Emergency Response vehicle there for the duration of the event This vehicle watches and records camera footage of the transition area in case of an issue or problem It may not be secure like he likes but it was a safe and secure transition. As I have said before, I am not interested in giving a refund since we were very clear with our information and we had hundreds of people who loved the race. Mark ***President

I am rejecting this response because: the response is inadequate and does not represent complete accuracy and transparency of what occurred Bike course dangers only only partially mitigated He is correct the one stretch was announced prior to the race but was not mitigated There was gravel and mud and was extremely dangerous races would cover with wood or reroute the course Also, there were more miles of gravel after this Response mentioned potholes but that is not accurateIt was gravel and an open bike course meaning traffic was not stopped or controlled after telling all runners via email it would be. The security was not adequate They mention a security unit on site with cameras Security on site but no cameras were there Only race ever done out of that did not have a formal bike check. owner and president is not being honest and attempt to work this out with him resulted in him taking zero responsibility for business mistakes
