My car was wrecked on 10/28/2013 and its 1/15/2014 and it is still not repaired. My biggest problem with Final Touch, Inc is that my car is still not repaired and it has been 80 days. I also have not been updated on any delays about the repair of my car with my calling them. I am always the one who calls to get an update and when I do I'm told that I will be the first person they call when the car is ready beacuse "we want to get paid". I was informed 2 weeks ago that it would be ready in a couple of days and to call back on a Friday after lunch to check the status. When I called on that Friday I was treated like a burden and was told again that I would be the first person they call when my car was ready because they want to get paid. I then thought I would give them some time. I waited 10 days for them to initiate a call to me for an update or to inform me that my car was done. I didnt hear a word. I finally called after those 10 days and was told the same thing as before. I was also told on that conversation that they didn't know how much longer it would be for my car to be ready. Desired SettlementI want my car repaired and returned to me in the same condition it was before the wreck. Business Response To whom it may concern:Regarding the above complaint from [redacted], Final Touch Inc has the following response.10/28/13 Final Touch received the 2011 Ford Flex via Final Touch wrecker (police rotation).11/3/13 Insurance adjuster was by Final Touch for photos.11/5/13 Insurance adjuster notified Mr. [redacted] of the prelimary repair amount and an estimate was faxed to Final Touch.During this time there were conversations between the [redacted] and [redacted] whether to repair or total this vehicle. 11/13/13 Mr. [redacted] came into our office and signed an authorization to repair. At this time we made it abundantly clear that we were extremely busy and we would work him in as soon as possible and once it was in our shop it would be here a while due the amount of damage done to it. We also advised them that they would indeed run out of their rental allowance if they were in a rental at that time.On 11/17/13 We got vehicle in the shop for a "tear down" and ordered parts, rec'd 1st order of parts on 11/19/13. (Major parts not rec'd)Once torn down we ordered additional parts, rec'd 2nd order 11/21/13. 11/25/13 rec'd right front apron assembly (major part).11/26/13 rec'd right front wheel.11/16/13 discovered power steering reservoir was damaged and ordered, advised it was on back order.Thanksgiving holiday11/27/13 rec'd axle shaft (major part)12/4/13 checked on power steering reservoir, still on back order. Requested parts supplier look on a locator and find one, found one in North Carolina and ordered it.12/9/13 Technician working on this vehicle fell from the frame machine and fractured 3 ribs and was out the remainder of the week.12/23/13 Additional parts arrived previously ordered.Christmas holiday.Body work continued after holiday, then New Years holiday.1/9/14 Vehicle went to [redacted] for alignment and discovered it needed an engine cradle.1/13/14 [redacted] rec'd engine cradle and installed (major install)1/17/14 [redacted] started diagnosing airbag codes and discovered the steering column and seat belt pretensioner was damaged in the accident and ordered it.1/18/14 [redacted] rec'd steering column and installed1/22/14 Seat belt pretensioner was rec'd and installed1/23/14 Vehicle was ready at [redacted] and Final Touch picked it up1/24/14 Vehicle was washed, waxed and vaccumed and customer was notified for pickup. Vehicle was ready for pickup on Friday 1/24/14.No sign of customer as of this date.Shop has not been paid on a $17,427.66 job.Respectfully,[redacted]Final Touch Inc.8195 Industrial Dr.Olive Branch, MS. 38654
