I sent you a letter on november 5, [redacted] landscaping messed up my patio and will do nothing to fix it I can't understand how a business could do such bad work and not have to be responsible

[redacted] is correct in the fact that I am busyI have been trying stop by and see what is the real problemI don't think the stoop we poured would have anything to do with her brick issue as it is all on the same footing and connected togetherIf there is a problem underlying we wouldn't know that I will attempt to contact her by email today and stop out to look at situation

This email is being sent in response to a complaint by *** ***Complaint ID ***. We were hired by *** to remove an apple tree and install a new patioWe removed the apple tree and ground the stump in the middle of her lawnThere was a deck in the area that the new patio was to go
that had been removed before we started our work except for a couple small footings and postsIn order to install a proper stone base we needed to get equipment into this area to excavate the soil down far enough to install stone and concreteWe had to cross a small old side walk with equipment to do this work so we placed plywood over the walk to protect it as much as possibleThe slabs of the walk are pitched and separated in opposite directions and the corner of walk that cracked off was an inch or so higher then adjacent slabThis less than foot square piece was removed and replacedWe did not replace the entire slab because the section of walk to the east is pitching towards the house and didn’t want to create negative pitch towards the houseIn all actuality by fixing the small corner of walk we cured lessened the many tripping hazards on this walk. When installing the patio it was very soft underneath so after installing our gravel base we also installed a rebar mat into foundation of home to prevent future settling, also where posts for old deck had to be removed was very softWhile pouring this patio over 3/4s of it was in the sun and the remainder was in the shade at the time it needed to be brushedWhere these two areas came together the brush left a slightly heavier brush mark that will wear off and blend in. We repaired all lawn damage and even went back and did that again as the client wasn’t satisfied with that eitherWe offered her money off of bill to try to satisfy herThe grass has all grown back very nicely except for the small spot where apple tree wasWe would go back to take care of this and any other small issues if we received payment in full. We have started legal action in this case and believe we have tried our best to resolve this issue. Thank you,*** ***

We have responded to this complaint and this client is being unrealisticWe said the only way to change the single rough brush mark is to remove the patioAs time went on you cant see the brush mark and we believe that there is nothing unacceptable on this projectThe sidewalk should be removed in its entirety because it is pitching the wrong way in several areas and we did our best to avoid damage to it when crossing it many many times with loaderThe corner in question was sticking up an inch or so higher than the adjacent slab and even with plywood covering it broke offAs I said in previous response we didn't replace entire slab because it would have created more negative pitch toward houseWe repaired lawn she wasn't happy with that eitherI stopped back there to look at it in October and everything looked great

We will resolve the customers complaint and see a full refund issuedThe chair did not come out to her satisfaction and we certainly don't want her feeling this way Some things we can't fix as much as we like and we will refund and close the matter outThanks Rich Peroni

We agreed to refund the customer in full and apologized that we were unable to delivery the highest quality product in this instance. It was a motorized roman blind which we did not manage to replicate properly and we of course recognized that it was to be free of charge. We always strive to deliver...

the highest quality to our clients. Although it was a costly job ,we delivered and installed it ,and left it installed in the home until a replacement can be procured absolutely free of charge. We hope this resolves the customers complaint completely. Thanks ,Richard PeroniPeroni's Upholstery

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I'm glad that they have taken ownership of the issue; it shows good business practice on their part.  As agreed upon in verbal communication via the phone, Hummer Bros. will be taking action of replacement of the existing stoop and brick in the August - September time frame of 2017.

I will attempt to contact her by email today and stop out to look at situation.

After investigating this situation further it looks like when we capped the stoop it was enough of a lip or an edge for frost to get under it to raise and lower it which allowed the he stoop to move away from home a half an inch. We will be removing stoop and brick on house and replacing all of it with new. We will inspect existing footings for stoop and make sure a proper one is installed. This will be done at our expense.

ON 10/09/15 MANAGER RYAN T[redacted] CALLED CUSTOMER S[redacted] TO APOLOGIZE BEING THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE OF TECH'S ACTIONS.  OUR SERVICE TECH IS ON THE CLOCK BY 7:00 AM, THEREFORE, AIREXTREME DOES CHARGE AN OVERTIME RATE FOR APPOINTMENTS BOOKED AFTER 3:00 PM AND WEEKENDS, BUT CUSTOMERS MUST BE MADE...

AWARE OF THAT PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT BEING BOOKED.  MANAGER WILL BE MAKING SURE THAT TECH IS MORE AWARE OF THIS.  AIREXTREME WILL BE REFUNDING THE OVERTIME RATE AND FULL SERVICE TO SHOW GOOD FAITH THAT WE ARE NOT TRYING TO BE DECEPTIVE IN MONEY MAKING PRACTICES.  WE ARE GLAD THAT THE CUSTOMER BROUGHT THIS TO OUR ATTENTION.  WE ARE NOT ALWAYS ABLE TO OVERSEE EVERY MINUTE OF OUR EMPLOYEES' DAYS.  WE WOULD LIKE TO PRIDE OURSELVES ON HONEST & DEPENDABLE SERVICE.
