We appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. W[redacted] concerns regarding her interaction with our company. Our company takes customer service complaints very seriously and we have conducted a reasonable investigation in regards to Ms. W[redacted]...

compliant. Our office did contact Ms. W[redacted] on April 10th, 2015 at her place of employment as an attempt to reach her regarding the balance owed to Sansum Clinic in the amount of $11.53. After speaking to her we removed her work number xxx-xxx-2121 per her request not to call her at her place employment. All our calls are recorded to provide training to our agents and to review any complaints received from our customers. After careful review of the call on April 17th, 2015 in which Ms. W[redacted] claims we disclosed information to a third party, we discovered the female we spoke to identified herself as Ms. W[redacted]. The number dialed was xxx-xxx-7090. This female who identified herself as Ms. [redacted] W[redacted] verified date of birth and a current mailing address. We apologize if Ms. W[redacted]’ mother committed fraud, however that would be an issue between Ms. W[redacted] and her mother. We encourage Ms. W[redacted] to contact our office if she would like to review the call herself. Unfortunately our records do not show we received a call from Ms. W[redacted] in regards to disclosing information to her mother. On April 29th, 2015 our office phoned xxx-xxx-7090 and left a message on a voicemail, later that day we received a call back from the same number advising our office that they did not know our consumer, so the phone number xxx-xxx-7090 was removed.  We would be happy to assist Ms. W[redacted] with questions or the payment of her accounts still remaining active in our office. Ms. W[redacted] can call our office at ###-###-#### and ask for S[redacted] or T[redacted].

We appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. [redacted]’s concerns regarding her issues with the account assigned to our company on February 17, 2014. As a data furnisher we are...

mandated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act to report fairly and accurately.
We conducted a reasonable investigation according to our account notes and speaking with our staff and have concluded we would like to make an exception as a onetime courtesy to extend additional time to hold from credit reporting. The FCRA requires we report credit fairly and accurately which means this account should have already credit reported as an unpaid collection. We appreciate her efforts in making payments however the agreement was to allow her and her attorney time to settle her personal injury case. As we all know personal injury cases may take a very long time to settle. The agreement was to hold from credit reporting until June 30th, 2014.  We typically do not withhold credit reporting in these situations involving personal injury cases.
Because our intent is to always find ways to assist our customers that creates win-win solutions for all parties involved, our Chief Compliance Officer Susan Morado has made the decision to hold from credit reporting an additional 90 days from June 30, 2014 to September 29, 2014.  We hope this will allow Ms. [redacted] the time she needs to resolve her case and make payment in full on the balance with our office. Ms. [redacted] currently has a balance of $6723.64.
In the future we ask that Ms. [redacted] contact our office directly and speak with Susan Morado or Traci Andrade should she have future concerns.   We feel time could have been saved for all if she had called our office and asked to speak with a Supervisor or Compliance Department.
Please have her contact our office at ###-###-#### and ask to speak to [redacted] or [redacted] should she need further assistance.

Review: As stated by the Customer.

10/2/13 Car accident seen in Goleta Valley Hospital on 10/2/13.

Goleta Valley Hospital would not accept payment plan sent bill to Collection agency” Financial credit Network” They “FCN” signed A lean with my attorney see attached copy also we started a payment plan with FCN

(Financial Credit Network)of $250.00 per Month until case settles.5/5/14 FCN received a check for $2,665.00 from my car insurance for Medical payment. Case has not been settled none of this money Was distributed to other medical Facilities because Lisa Jonson Was stating that FCN would be reporting negative comments to credit agencies. I don’t believe this should happen because all along we have been trying to work with Goleta Valley Hospital and FCN they both have been unresponsive until they received $2665.00 I don’t feel that my credit should be affected because they don’t want to wait until case is settled.

My Attorney is trying to settle it. See attached copy of checks, email, my statement.Desired Settlement: No Credit reporting and no negative credit reporting to any agency, from Financial Credit Network, and Goleta Valley Hospital.

Review: On or around April 13 someone from this collection agency contacted me at my work for a $10 medical bill from Sansum Clinic I asked that they not call me at work and informed them that the clinic billed incorrectly or they would have been paid. Later on 17 April I was told by my 71 yr old mother was being called and they explained the entire situation to her, telling her it was for $10.00 medical bill with a collection fee of $1.42 and that it should be paid. First off I never gave permission to discuss this with anyone and at my mothers age she probably would have given them her credit card to pay this. I called them that very day and stated they had first no right to contact her let alone discuss this with her and that they would be hearing from a lawyer if they contacted her again. This is clearly a violation of my privacy and how they got her number is beyond me. On 29 April they contacted her again once again a violation of the right to not be harassed on the telephone and it wasn't even me it was my mom again!Desired Settlement: I want them first fined for the privacy violation and the again for the repeated calls to my mother! This should not be allowed!

I am rejecting this response because:Not only are they lying about my own mother violating the law they are lying about my phone call clearly showing a 20 minute phone call to them that they not only violated my privacy but now they are accusing Sansum of a HIPPA Violation and they were told never to call my mother again she is old and frail and they did just that called her again. So now I guess its a HIPPA violation on top of my privacy being violated.
