Financial Halo Reviews (2)

It is my opinion that this "Financial Halo" business is a financial scam set up to not only use the independent contractors that buy into their pie in the sky sales pitch but also the doctors and medical professionals that are conned into investing in this program. When I called into find out why they were still drafting my account when I had made it clear to them I wanted nothing more to do with this company , I got a hateful and factually erroneous letter from Ken Norton, telling me what a poor excuse fro a rep I had been ...yada yada yada. He explained that there is a website you have to send your request to cancel to, in order to get out of this ( what I consider to be a) business scam. Funny thing is when I go to the email address he gave me I am directed to a website giving me miles and miles of complaints on this company, the same as my complaints and some even more in details of what hundreds if not thousands of people just like myself that have been trying to get off this financially draining treadmill MLM scheme calling itself a helping organization. What do I have to do to wake up from this nightmare ? CH Kelly

Review: I am a physician and believing that this company was providing a valuable service to the community of healthcare providers in the area of genetic testing decided to join only to find out that they were in fact an MLM masquerading themselves as [redacted]. Their corporate address:[redacted] given on linkedin claims to have over 10,000 employees but is rather the office of Dr. [redacted], D.C. with approx. 10 employees. They also had some loosely fitted confederation with a medical supply company (Aiderex) and a software company (Vantage RX), as well as a lab to do their genetic testing ([redacted], Chatsworth, CA.). Due to the fact that the OIG was looking into overcharging for these genetic tests and that was their primary modus opperendi they quickly covered tracks and dropped the lab. I feel that this is a less than reputable situation and requested cancellation and a return of my $119.60 PLUS the recent 03/18 website fee of $19.95 but have been told no by [redacted]. I intend to also file a complaint with the Ca. Attorney General's OfficeDesired Settlement: $119.60 refund$19.95 refundTOTAL: $139.55Payable in a certified cashier's check or money order

Response:

This confirms receipt of your notice of a complaint filed by Dr. [redacted] against MedXPrime. This law firm represents the Company. As the attorney representing the Company, I can assure you they have made it as easy as possible for Dr. [redacted] to cancel his Associate status and monthly website fees. MedXPrime always wants to respond as quickly as possible to any requests to cancel from an Associate. Dr. [redacted] enrolled as an Associate on 2/11/15 after viewing the Company's webinar presentation that very clearly describes their business model, marketing plan, services and support. His enrollment process required him to acknowledge several documents describing the business and the policy and procedures associated with it. It should be noted that their customer support team spent several hours over a week's time in helping him understand not only how to access his Associate website but also basic fundamentals of email and computer operation. MedXPrime Associates have the option of either calling on physicians directly but also, at their discretion, building a sales organization from which they receive over-ride commissions, much the same as the real estate and insurance industries. Their corporate office shares space with Dr. [redacted] who is a member of their Scientific Advisory Board and a long-term, close friend of the company owners. As a young company, it is essential that they operate as good stewards of their funds and not incur excessive overhead for unnecessary 'showplace' offices. The company has never claimed to have 10,000 employees and vigorously refutes this allegation. Their initial laboratory services provider proved unable to provide dependable and timely service to their representatives and clients. The sole reason they left the initial lab was due to its inability to provide administrative support, training, marketing materials and to pay commissions in a timely and accurate manner. Dr. [redacted]'s charge that an OIG investigation into overpricing for the test was instrumental in their changing labs is completely erroneous. As a company, MedXPrime does not set pricing for the genetic testing; they are obligated to offer the services at the price the laboratory determines is best for their business. MedXPrime is completely unaware of any OIG action and notes that the laboratory pricing for the genetic testing, in an extremely competitive market, is entirely consistent with other labs providing a similar genetic test. The MedXPrime program operates exactly as has always been described in their presentations and there has been no change to their business model. MedXPrime continues to offer DNA and toxicology testing to health care providers. The only change has been to associate with a new lab which improves the program considerably. The lab has been processing both DNA and tox testing in large volume for over a year; they are expanding this testing into an entirely new 38,000 square foot facility within a few weeks. Their lab utilizes the latest, state-of-the art equipment and they are positioned to expand the volume of testing considerably. The decision to move to a new lab was to improve the resources and services available to their representatives and to their clients. The move to the new lab enhances the opportunity for all representatives to build a very successful business with greater capacity, broader scope of testing services, world class client and customer support and a proven income model for physicians that is thoroughly vetted and compliant through use over several years. I am at a loss to understand how this can be construed as "less than reputable". The Company has been very clear that they are in a pre-launch stage of development; this is referenced in all of their webinars and in weekly corporate announcements to all Associates. Because they are in a pre-launch period of development, things are subject to change so the company may continue to develop their services and improve the program for their Associates; sometimes, this requires that changes be made to their programs. This is addressed in the Associate Terms and Conditions, as follows: Financial Halo, LLC reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any service program or provider at any time in order to improve the services offered. There is no question that the recent change of lab will benefit all representatives immediately and greatly enhance their prospects for building a profitable and successfully business. The new lab partner offers proven, cutting edge technology but also completely state-of-the-art administrative and processing systems. They have an admirable track record of compliance and are a training-centric company. The company believes that its primary job is to resolve as many obstacles and frustrations as possible for its representatives so their business can be stress free and easy. MedXPrime is fully confident that the support and resources provided by the new lab are world class and will serve its representatives very well. They will enjoy much greater information, training, reporting and support with the new lab. The business plan is also improved. MedXPrime has provided an enhanced compensation plan and a complete suite of marketing resources and materials. I hope you will agree that if representatives can be paid more and provided the best marketing tools available, then the company is doing its part in helping them succeed. The Financial Halo refund policy was developed to be very fair and they strive to be responsive. The company wants their Associates to be fully informed and aware of their options and responsibilities. They don't want to be subject to criticism or accusations that are unfounded. They are dedicated to responding to their representatives in a conscientous manner because they take this seriously and make this a very high priority. Their commitment is to serve all representatives well in all aspects of their relationship with them. The Independent Associate Policy & Procedure, Terms and Conditions and Associate Agreement all include the refund policy description, as follows: Terms of Enrollment and Website UseFinancial Halo, LLC provides its Associates with a 14 DAY UNCONDITIONAL SATISFACTION GUARANTEE for the initial enrollment and monthly website back office fee. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, your monthly website license fee and one time enrollment fee will be fully (100%) refunded. Each Associate further agrees that after the 14 DAY satisfaction guarantee, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS! IF PURCHASER USED A CREDIT CARD TO ENROLL AS AN ASSOCIATE AND TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE MONTHLY WEBSITE BACK OFFICE ACCESS, PURCHASER IRREVOCABLY AGREES TO NOT INITIATE A CHARGEBACK AGAINST FINANCIAL HALO, LLC.If Associate decides to cancel for any reason within 14 days from the initial purchase date, a refund request must be e-mailed to:[redacted]. 100% of Clients enrollment purchase price will be placed back on the credit card used to make the initial purchase within 7 business days. If after the initial 14 day satisfaction guarantee period, Associate chooses to discontinue paying the Month-To-Month website back office access fee, a subscription cancellation request must be provided (E-mailed) no fewer than 15 days prior to the requested cancellation date to:[redacted] If Associate inappropriately breaches this agreement and initiates a chargeback with Associate’s credit card provider after agreeing to Financial Halo’s 'TERMS OF ENROLLMENT AND WEBSITE USE' Policy electronically by physically moving cursor to and clicking the 'I ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS' box on the Associate enrollment and registration page, at any time after the 14 day unconditional satisfaction guarantee, Associate agrees to pay a $50 chargeback/admin defense document preparation fee plus the full amount of the chargeback to cover the enrollment and use fee. Failure to pay the total amount owed plus the agreed to fees within 30 days of Financial Halo’s demand for payment will result in Financial Halo forwarding Associate’s debt to a professional collection agency. Associate agrees to pay all additional fees necessary to collect this debt. Interest will accrue at 1% per month on the outstanding aggregate balance until the balance due is paid in full. Failure to repay debt in a timely manner could ultimately result in a negative reporting/effect on Associate’s credit report. Accordingly, the company is unable to refund Dr. [redacted]'s initial Associate enrollment fee, dated 2/11/15, and the monthly website fee for March. Thanks, [redacted]Law Offices of [redacted]
