November 2, 2015Better Business Bureau WGreenfield Ave., Ste125West Allis, WI 53214Re: Case # [redacted] This letter is in response to the above case numberThe statute of limitations on an account is six years from date of last payment or last activity on the accountIf there is a judgment on the account, this period is extended to twenty (20) years from the date of the judgmentOnce an account is turned over for collection, typically a client will mark that account as in collection and write it off their active booksThis does not mean the account is not still owedWhen an account is turned over for collection, and a claim of payment has been made, our clients request proof of payment be suppliedIn many cases, the debtor may have open accounts not yet in collection so any payments sent directly to the client will be applied to any open balances within their officeWe request any proof of payment be sent directly to us to help identify where or if the payment was applied We strive to work with the debtors to resolve any discrepancies but in some cases, we are unable to do so without additional information from them.We strive to work with each debtor so should a debtor wish to receive a breakdown of charges we will send one to them should it be specifically requested even after the required 30-validation period has expired If a debtor has a question on an account or if they wish to send any information showing proof of payment we ask that they contact us directly at [redacted] .Thank you,*** [redacted] ManagerFinancial Recoveries, Inc

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] the bill had balance of $and I paid that thank yourobyn

This is in response to this complaint. Originally the consumer advised all bills were paidWe would need proof of payment if she feels she paid this billI will send the consumer a copy of her bill for services at *** *** *** on 12-2-for her recordsHer insurance paid this bill and left the balance of $as her coinsuranceIf she feels she is not responsible for this balance, again, we need an explanation of benefits from ***Until we receive either proof of payment or proof she is not responsible for this balance the balance cannot be adjusted and she is responsible. Hopefully, this information will be provided shortly, so this account can be resolvedI have changed the credit reporting flag on this account so it should not report to her credit reportHowever, if it does and there was an error on our part this account will be deleted from her credit report. This communication from a debt collector is an attempt to collect a debtAny information obtained will be used for that purpose. Respectfully, Sheila M***Collections SupervisorFinancial Recoveries*** *** ***

The balance of $is the consumer’s coinsuranceIf she feels she is not responsible for this balance, we need an Explanation of Benefits from *** showing there is no patient responsibilityThe Explanation of Benefits will show the total charges, what her insurance covered and any
deductible or coinsurance and is definitely needed to resolve this account.Once this is received, we will adjust her balance accordingly. We received this account in collections on 3-21-I am not sure why we just recently received this account. We do not have any information in regards to a refund that was to be sent in the amount of $ If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. Review: I allegedly have an account in collection with this company since 2007. The hospital, [redacted], HAS NO RECORD OF THE TRANSACTION. The company has NEVER contacted me with regards to this alleged debt, even though I or my parents have lived at this address since 2000. I have tried repeatedly to find the name and contact information of the company, or to even find an account number, and could only find it TODAY for a debt allegedly arising in 2007. The email address on their website is INVALID. Every attempt to contact the company is INVALID. I know NOTHING of this debt, they never wrote to me, the hospital has NO RECORD OF IT, and they are ruining my credit. Lately, it shows that I am not making payments on the account. I HAVE NO ACCOUNT. I DO NOT KNOW WHO THIS COMPANY IS. They're hurting my credit score, and I am infuriated by their complete lack of professional responsibility. NO ATTEMPT TO CONTACT THEIR ORGANIZATION HAS LEAD TO A RESPONSIBLE OUTCOME OR RESPONSE.Desired Settlement: REMOVE THIS 2007 ITEM FROM MY CREDIT REPORT. YOU NEVER CONTACTED ME. THE HOSPITAL HAS NO CONTACTED ME. MY INSURANCE PAID OUT THE CLAIM. STOP RUINING MY LIFE.

Dear [redacted], 11-27-07 We received a fax from [redacted] giving us an address change along with insurance information. 12-19-07 Received our letter back with copy of insurance card attached. 05-15-08 Billed [redacted]. 07-23-08 Insurance denied Coordination of Benefit issue. Several calls made, not able to reach [redacted]. 04-14-14 We received dispute and credit report was marked dispute. As you can see, we were contacted by [redacted] in reference to this account and she was aware of this debt. [redacted] reflects a zero balance because we both cannot collect on the same debt. However, we have requested that this account be deleted from [redacted] credit report and a letter will be sent to her advising this. If you have any questions, please call ###-###-####, ext.[redacted]. This communication from a debt collector is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose. I am rejecting this response because: I was made aware of this in 2014 because it showed up aaas a detriment on my credit report, NOT DUE TO ANY CONTACT FROM YOU. I do not know how you allegedly attempted to reach me but this needs to be resolved. I had insurance at that time. I always have insurance. This is ridiculous. I still live AT THE SAME ADDRESS, another letter could have be sent before you ruined my credit.

Regards,

Review: I was making payments to [redacted] for a debt that was owed for a surgery. I missed a few payments because I was in the midst of moving from Wilmington, De to Bakersfield, CA and my husband asked to help out and send out payments for our bills and forgot that this payment was pay by phone. Once we got settled in I called [redacted] to make a payment and they told me to contact [redacted], so I did. When I contacted them and told them I can mail out a payment after August 15th because I have no money left over from my check on August 1st and asked that they not post it to my credit report because I have been working on my credit to purchase a home their CSR [redacted] said that it was fine to go ahead and send the payment. I then got an email update on 8/16/14 from my account with [redacted] and it was posted to my account. I called and left 2 messages and I still have not received a call back or a message. I have sent in my payments; one was sent in August (Money order# [redacted] which was cashed by them on 9/2/14) and one was in September (Money order#[redacted] cashed by them on 10/2/14). I am just making ends meet with my husband being laid off and I am the only source of income in the household.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to remove it from my credit report. They have posted 2 failures to pay on my credit report; my credit score has now dropped down from a 716 to a 591. I will make payments each month I just need someone to contact me to get this off of my account as soon as possible.

Review: On 6/4/2015 I set up to pay account# [redacted] Finrec Acct# [redacted] confirmation number. The agency did not apply the funds to this account but to another that they also have. This was agreed to clear this account from the credit report as satisfied. They admitted they applied it to a different account evev though the account number was specified.Desired Settlement: I would like the monies applied to the account it was supposed to go to and clear this account as paid in full.
