Dear Ms. [redacted],

Review: We brought our vehicle to Findlay Volkswagon in May 2013. They agreed to complete the repairs that were needed. They went through a third party company to purchase the engine that was needed to repair our vehicle. VW assures us and we have it in writing that this engine would come with a full 3yr/36000 mile warranty. Upon starting the new engine while it was still int he shop the engine turned for less than a minute and died. VW then told us it was our responsibility to pay for them to take the new/dead engine out to send back to the third party company so it could be repaired an then we would have to pay for them to put the new engine that the third party company sent put back in. In Oct 3013 our vehicle was finally ready to be picked up. We drove it for 3 months and one January morning we went to start it and it turned for about a minute and then dies and has not run since. VW is telling us that the third party company is not honoring their end of the warranty saying that the one thing that went w[redacted]g was not covered by the warranty. VW now wants us to pay for the repairs to the engine that were not covered under the warranty as well as pay them again to remove and put in a third engine.Desired Settlement: WE would like for Findlay Volkswagon to complete the repairs to the engine that need to be done to get it running. As well as any costs on their end to complete all said repairs.

I took my 2019 jetta sport wagen in because of a transmission problem,I had bought an extended warranty and now find that it means nothing to them nor does the safety of the owner. After backing up the car refused to leave first gear or go into reverse. The lights on the dash were blinking from the ones that tell you what gear your in.After turning off the engine then restarting it,It seem to clear up the problem. When I explained it to the service writer I was told that it was not covered on the extended drive train warranty. If I wanted to replace the computer that runs the transmission then I would have to fork over 2500 dollars.I will be selling this car now and repeating this story in every blog that I can find and hopefully prevent anyone else making the same mistake as I did.I'll stick with the toyota for now on.They back what they say, and it doesn't cost you for something that should have been on the warranty to begin with.

5% of lifetime dealerships"

I've purchased many vehicles in my 50 years of driving and would easily rate Findlay Volkswagen in the top 5% of all dealerships I've experienced. Too often, buying a new car has been an unpleasant experience as the typical dealership tries to squeeze every nickel out of the deal. But, every once on in awhile you come across a dealership like Findlay where the sale is low pressure, purchase and trade values are up front and fair, and you drive away feeling good, and not molested, by the experience. In the 8 years I've lived in Flagstaff, I've bought 9 vehicles. Although I've always tried to buy local, every other dealership forced me to drive to Phoenix to get a fair deal. Findlay, on the other hand, made it clear from the start that they wanted my business and offered me a deal that was every bit as competitive as Phoenix. It was a great feeling to not only buy the car I wanted at a very fair price, but to also be able to keep the money local. Thank you Findlay for breaking an 8 year drought.

I drove 2 hours round trip to lease a car after talking to a leasing agent several times and being assured that I could obtain a car for a specific amount with a down payment which I agreed to. I was told that the payment could be a few dollars more. After waiting for l hour at the dealership, I finally was shown the paper work and to my shock the payment was $120.00 more than quoted to me. Being honest with me would have saved me much time and aggravation. I was lied to and am wondering if this is normal procedure for car dealers or if it is because I am a woman???? I have told several people of my experience and will continue to do so.
