The winter of was record setting The large amount of snow fall combined with the record number of days below freezing in February created ice damns that were several feet thick When this happens and standing water becomes trapped on a roof for several days, the
roof system will leak While ice shield sticks to the roof deck and seals around nails, it is not a swimming pool liner When you called in last year we were taking hundreds of phone calls from people all over Western New York, but specifically people South of Depew I apologize if we came across as "short" last year on the day you called but we were working very hard to answer the phone for as many people in WNY as possible I have noted that you declined service last year to remove the ice damn because it was a chargeable service Ice damning is not covered under your workmanship warranty from Stockm*** In regards to your call to Scott H*** this year, I am showing that you are requesting removal of a ridge vent from an area of your home While you are no longer under warranty with Stockm***, this is not why we are refusing the service We do not recommend removal of the very system that is designed to allow warm, moist air to escape from the attic The trapping of this air will lead to more significant ice damns in the future While you feel that removing this vent is the correct course of action, we are bound to abide by NYS Building Code Your request does not comply with NYS Building CodeI hope this written explanation helps clear what we were unable to communicate verballySincerely,

This is an A Plus, 4 Stars Company. We had our windows, siding and gutter replaced by Stockmohr and we could not be MORE PLEASED. They are professional, skillful, friendly and very polite. When the job was finished we got compliments from our neighbors all around. We are very satisfied.
