I live in Pittsburgh, PA and purchased a new home in July In February 2015, I noticed my kitchen sink water valves were leaking I contacted Globe Home Warranty gave them all the information A plumbing service called me apx hours later and a plumber was at my house that day and issue resolved I was extremely happy My experience with the Globe Home Warranty team as well as the plumbing company was wonderful Everyone was very helpful and courteous

Globe Home Protection is a business which provides a "protection plan" for "system breakdowns such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and airconditioning; including major appliances like dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, ovens, washers and dryers, and more." We got this home protection plan with a house recently purchased in Gainesville, FL, I expect this company was chosen because of a discount given to the realtor purchasing the warranty, but I don't know that for sure We were expecting as any reasonable person would -- that it would help with problems that arise with a new home purchase Before you waste money with Globe Home Protection, which has numerous exclusions for every item they "cover" that is actually too long for them to print in their pamphlet, investigate other options Suffice it to say that if they don't specifically name a problem that is covered for any system or appliance -- they don't cover it Should any item need replacing that they might actually cover, they replace only with builder grade items and appliances Our first round with them was the plumbing protection We had a leak under the shower floor which they call a slab leak Oh, wait, that isn't covered A toilet valve would be covered, a leaking pipe in the attic might be covered but only up to $and only if you purchased the stellar plan The second problem was with the refrigerator which is supposedly covered The drain line froze up and stopped draining into the pan, backing up into the freezer and eventually thawing and dripping out on the floor -- oh, shoot, guess what? NOT COVERED The two french doors on the refrigerator also stick They are difficult to open and if you don't close them both at the same time -- one probably will not completely shut The repairman determined the seals need to be replaced to fix this problem as there is something wrong with the seals Also, NOT COVERED You are much better off just putting the money into a savings account and paying for your own items yourself There is a $service call fee for them to send a repair technician that provides a diagnosis to Globe Home Protection that they will then explain that they don't cover Really specific, tricky wording in their plan description

My dishwasher has been broken for almost three weeks now I have called globe and their service provider over times and still don't have an appointment for someone to come out and fix the appliance I was told someone would come out today, and I took off work for this appointment and they cancelled I called globe and told them about this and they were not helpful, specifically, Don was rude and hung up on me twice Don refuses to help me and I don't know what I should do to get the service from the warranty Also, Don insists he is the manager and there is no one above him Would someone please contact me to remedy this awful situation and help me get my dishwasher fixed under this warranty?

We bought our home in Windermere Florida 1/months go and we bought home warranty insurance with Globe My first claim was my microwave not working , Globe sent out a electrician whom I paid two weeks later I get a call saying my Microwave will be replaced by *** two days later *** calls me saying they where delivering and installing the microwaveThe Microwave comes and doesn't fit the trim kit, The outside boarder that keeps the microwave in place so it doesn't fall and hurt anyoneI would like to add the Microwave was not a ** like I told the Globe Home Warranty Company I had therefore the trim kit that is not covered by globe doesn't I sent the microwave back with the plumber who came to install it from *** , who also agreed I just call Globe and get a ** profile microwave to fit the trim kit I already haveThe customer rep *** extension *** told me I had to go to Lowes or wherever and buy a microwave and they would reimburse me what they approve I explained to the Representative , *** that I am on a tight budget I just bought a home and paying all the money upfront for a Microwave and install at over was too much for me ,especially since I home home warranty I paid for alreadyAfter being treated rudely and having go back and forth over him having a ** profile sent out to me, I hung up in tears from his rude demeanor.My husband called on September 30, asking about the microwave issue and was spoken too with the same rude, don't care type of energy I experienced weeks agoI still have n working Microwave and Globe refuses to send out a new one to my home according to *** ohm effuses to let my husband or I speak to his boss regarding this situation to get it resolvedThe employee named *** ext *** has horrible customer service manors and so does a unnamed man who was in the background who using foul words in regards to this situation
I am very unhappy with the service this company has provided thus far
