Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/11/24) */
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
Insured name: *** *** Insured Id: Insured Group#: XXXXXXX Insured SS#:
*** was seen on 10-8-for an oral surgery procedureWe have billed her insurance for the full procedureShe paid for the anesthesia at
the time of the procedureWe are waiting to hear from her insurance before giving her a refundThis is because her insurance may cover part of the anesthesia, We always refund after insurance payment, not prior or we will be sending multiple checks which then gets confusing for the accountant and officeThe office explained this to her on the phoneInsurance co, need to process the claim, and submit the payment which takes approximately three monthsWe would like to get paid sooner then later
Thank You,
ADS
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/11/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No their statement is not correctBefore the procedure was even done I was told by the office personnel that my inswill not cover the chargeSo I then called to ask personally why my inswould not cover the $charge and was told that the anesthesia was not covered by the doctor's billing codeSo I paid the $I then requested a copy of the billing statement so I could bill our medical insto see if they would cover the anesthesia chargeBut upon receiving my statement indicating the charge was for $So this is how all this mess startedSo no, they did not tell me to wait until after receiving receiving a response from my dental insThey already had spoken to my dental insbefore I even called and while I was on my cell phone they also over heard the conversationI had set my phone on speakerAs of Nov25, 2015, I just called our dental insand spoke to*** and she told me they have not received a procedure claim form from *** office as of yetAs I stated before his office has never returned my phone callsPlease Revdex.com call MetLife Dental office at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX to confirm that my statement is true

January 16, 2018 Ref: [redacted] Insured name: [redacted] [redacted] presented to the oral surgery office with pain from wisdom tooth #32. Lower right quadrant. He was given the option to have the two upper wisdom teeth extracted as they were starting to supraerupt. This...

was explained in the financial agreement by the secretary, and signed by the patient. According to his insurance benefits that we obtained by [redacted] he was covered at 100% with A remaining of $ 2000.00, this was faxed over by the insurance. We did not know that he had an outstanding balance from another dental office that used up his insurance benefits for the year. Our office spoke to a representative Harnesh on 9-11-17 and again to Juan on 9-15-17 at [redacted] regarding the claim. It was finally paid on Sept. 28, 2017 for $66. The patients insurance was maned out. The insurance stating his responsibility being $943.00 Please see the enclosed fax and explanation of benefits from [redacted] along with the financial agreement. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
The statement where I went to their office complaining about my wisdom tooth is false. I went to their office wanting to have my dental abscess fixed. My wisdom tooth was in no pain. All my wisdom teeth were out and the only one I needed to have removed was one that was coming out sideways, and I had gotten fixed that a year ago. My wisdom teeth were in no pain since they were successfully out, I can prove that by showing the X-ray that was taken at her office and reviewed by another dentist if required. After the x-ray exam the dentist mentioned that they don’t  do that kind of dental work (abcess/gum work). So about two months later I went to another dental office. The process  was much different at  the other dentist office because this  dentist did not do any work on my abcess until the amount requested by my insurance was approved. This process was approved 2weeks  after the request. This process was not done this way at the office of Dr [redacted] I’m very disappointed by the lack of morality and level of professionalism of Dr [redacted] I cannot believe she is lying about the reason of my visit to her office  and because her 3 month late charge to my insurance I’m having to pay something that I should not have to. All this could have been prevented if she would have done the financial charges correctly and ON TIME, and to make it worse she will not see me nor call me back to work with my bill; I just received my last bill notice from her.
