Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The impound facility refused to give me the exact documentation needed to release the car. They also denied the owner of the vehicle access to the car on Sunday. They also turned our tow truck driver away because he came at 5pm to pick up the car even though he has all the documents legally required to remove the car.  They stated that no one can pick up the car after 5pm. They wanted another day of storage fees. The owner that run that location was rude and unprofessional. He stated on the phone he had no idea what paperwork was needed of us to remove the car and kept saying he had to call us back. We paid an extra day of fees because he refused to release the car at 5pm. He is unethical and a horrible business owner. As per stated on the impound notice, the vehicle can be picked up 24hrs a day which is not what he allowed us to do. The lack of respect he gave us over the phone is ridiculous. I understand the business they are in however Courtesy is not to be lacked in any field of business.  I will be putting a complaint into TDR L in regards to this location and how they handled the situation. What they did was illegal and wrong. They wanted to get as much storage fees as possible before they absolutely had to release the vehicle. I am requesting my refund for an extra day of storage fees and I want it mailed to me  with an apology letter. If I do not receive this I will be putting a complaint in against how they run their impound facility. this is not the first time we have dealt with an impound facility. Each time we have called to release the vehicle other places have been informative, told us exactly what we needed and did not do some runaround game like this individual did. Also the fact that this impound facility  this is not the first time we have dealt with an impound facility. Each time we have called to release the vehicle other places have been informative, told us exactly what we needed and did not do some runaround game like this individual did. Also the fact that this impound facility  denied the owner of the vehicle to remove their vehicle in person with a tow truck in hand was wrong. They did not need any document notarized since they are the legal owner of the vehicle and were present at the time of pick up.  I will be taking this as far as I can because they believe that they can get away with that business practices.  Regards,

This response is in reference to a complaint made against Finger Towing / ID # [redacted]. Finger Towing received the vehicle in question from [redacted] Police Department on 9/28/16. This vehicle was wrecked, the air bags had deployed and it was not drivable. If a vehicle is drivable and you are...

the registered owner of the vehicle, you must give one hour's notice of pick-up, provide a valid Government issued identification and pay the applicable fees. If the vehicle requires to be towed from the storage lot by a third party, the owner must be present and the tow company must provide Texas license, [redacted] license, CAB card and insurance. The registered owner of the vehicle showed up at the lot, without giving notice. Finger Towing requested the proper documentation from the tow truck driver prior to release of the vehicle and never received. At this point the lien holder called and requested release of the vehicle. They were informed to provide the correct documentation and the vehicle would be released. Their dispatcher was unprofessional and claimed that the proper documentation had been submitted. As the attached paperwork is proof, a Texas Notary and the lien holder signed the proper documentation on 10/5/2016. The vehicle was released 10/5/2016(see attached paperwork). The disputed amount is $200.00 with a complaint of an extra day's storage. The storage fees are $20.00 a day plus tax. The vehicle was in storage from 9/28/16 — 10/5/16. The storage fees were charged appropriately at 8 days, a total of $173.20.Finger Towing has been in business since 2003. We value our relationship with our customers as well as the Revdex.com. We are restricted by the rules and guidelines of the Texas Department of License and Regulation and follow them accordingly.
