I was in the market to buy a home, I kept receiving calls from fink and McGregor to let them handle my future mortgage and loan, well we started the process, they did this via emails and through troy a*** with century here in vernal, we kept getting responses to sign this and sign that and I saved all emails from them, well midway through they kept promising we would close on the house in question and that day never came, I was approved for the loans I followed all requests and still no closing date, they kept sending the same paperwork for me to sign over and over again, I paid out of pocket for inspection after inspection, I paid out earnest money Still no closing, they kept up this sharade til we figured out we wouldn't be moving into a home and they get to run off with my money, I have all paperwork and emails for you, I just want the earnest money back, I went through *** and have nothing to show for it, they advertise speedy process loans, this is a lie, there wa

We are a mortgage company therefore we are not involved with the price of the home , earnest money or contractors. I would suggest calling the real estate agents regarding earnest money.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I never harassed anyone, Amy H[redacted] was in fact rude and mean to my spouse Lori and there was no need for that, we paid 1500.00 in earnest money, then another 1567.00 in inspections on that house, then was charged 100 a day for their extensions, and we do not have that kind of money, we started at 108,000 for the home, and that was in the price range we could afford, then it started going up, it reached 140,000 payments even higher out of our budget, they ordered more documents on closing date the end of july, and closing never happened, these ladies they had working on this were incapable of what they were doing, no training, lack of knowledge, so august 13 we ended this because there was no end in site, they kept ordering the same paperwork over and over again until my wife was completely exhausted from running back and forth to our bank to get the same statements that were already sent, my sister Lorrie O[redacted] did the same thing, they kept ordering her to get statement after statement until we were all confused as to what was going on.  So them saying we didn't pay a dime is a lie, we are out a lot of money on this, we just want the earnest money back they got a lot from us, the house payment going up and up and up they priced us right out of it, but never had a closing date or completion date, even the realtor troy a[redacted] was confused as to what they were doing and why they were doing it.  I've never harassed anyone in my life and to be accused of this is just their way of trying to get out of their responsibility of messing this up.  I have every email and copy of paperwork ever sent.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have received and read Mr. [redacted]’s complaint.  There are several inaccuracies, discrepancies and missing facts that I would like to address. We do not advertise “speedy process loans”.  The loan Mr. [redacted] wanted was in fact the slowest, most tedious loan product in the market due to the...

need to get contractors, plans, bids, counseling and making everything fit together.  Small changes in the details of the transaction will trigger new disclosure forms due to the government regulations. Mr. [redacted] never paid us a dime. He paid the contractor and he paid earnest money as part of the Real Estate Purchase Contract, which the Listing agent stated she was trying to return ($1500) Upon final inspection mold was found throughout the property which caused an entirely new bid for a 203k loan further extending the loan process. Mr. [redacted] made a habit of harassing our processor, several times to the point of tears. I got exactly one message from Mr. [redacted], which came at night.  I returned his call the next morning, which he did not answer.  I left him a voicemail.  He called back about a week later, in a raised voice and highly agitated state.  This conversation went on for ten or fifteen minutes, most of which consisted of him berating my employees.  When I told him I would need to follow up on the details because I was not very familiar with his particular situation, he started personally insulting me before hanging up on me. Mr. [redacted] withdrew his offer as we were clearing final conditions for the loan.  He was also given alternative solutions which he declined to take. In the business of mortgage loans, any and all of our revenue is the result of loans that have been closed and funded.  If we don’t close the loan, we lose money due to the expenses of overhead and labor.  We don’t “get to run off with the money”.  We simply have two incentives.  One, to make peoples’ lives better.  Two, to make a fair profit so we can feed our families.  We are sorry that this did not work out for Mr. [redacted] and his family.Tell us why here...
