Review: This complaint is for fee charged for septic cleaning. I was quoted $300.00 and was charged $625.00. Bonnie, office manager/owner, told me I would be called when they had other customers in my area. The truck came without calling on a day when I was out of town. They went in my yard and were digging to locate tank. They returned on 10/31/15 and I showed them the general location of the tank. When they could not find it they dug approximately 6 holes in the opposite direction from where I indicated. Mike,the owner, joked and said they did not have a transmitter to flush down the toilet but that John did. Eventually they went into my basement and sent a snake through until they reached the holding tank. They measured distance and located it easily and pumped it out. I asked if I should pay him. Was told no I would receive a bill. I did not. The only thing I received was a charge for $625.00. No call, no bill. I have called 4 times. Mike will not call me back. Bonnie told me the additional charge was for 2 trips out and the problem in locating clean out. I am not responsible for the 1st trip since they did not call me as they had indicated. I am not responsible for their lack of the proper equipment I.e. the transmitter. Why they dug in the opposite direction from where I indicated I don't understand and why they only snaked the line after digging many holes in my yard, I don't understand either. They should have flushed a transmitter (which most septic companies have) or at least snaked it much sooner. I am very recently widowed and feel that I am being taken advantage of. LI thought they knew what they were doing. Apparently there is another Finkeldey Septic that has been in business for close to 35 years. That's who I thought I had. In conclusion they had no right to charge my card for this amount of money. I still have not received a bill substantially these charges and they were not given permission to charge more than $300.00. Thank you for your timeDesired Settlement: Refund of $325.00.
