We represent Finley Fire Equipment Company, Inc. ("Finley Fire"). We are in receipt of your letter, dated January 4, 2016, regarding a Complaint that was filed with The Revdex.com ("Revdex.com") by [redacted]. It is our understanding that [redacted] is the Chief of the [redacted]...

[redacted] Complaint asserts that [redacted] purchased two types of fire hose from Finley Fire, and that those hoses are defective. [redacted] has requested reimbursement of the full amount of the purchase price. As an initial matter, we note that Finley Fire and [redacted] have already referred this issue to their respective legal counsel. Nevertheless, we want to make it absolutely clear that Finley Fire disputes all of [redacted] claims and denies that the hoses are defective. Importantly: [redacted] purchased the hoses from Finley Fire in late 2013 and early 2014.Finley Fire did not manufacture the hoses; they were manufactured by [redacted]After receiving initial complaints from [redacted] in 2015, a Finley Fire representative met with [redacted] and arranged to have the hoses tested by All [redacted]
[redacted]an tested the hoses and did not uncover any defects.The hoses [redacted] ordered from Finley Fire are a different type than the hose shown in the photos [redacted] sent to Finley Fire this month. [redacted] has had the hoses for approximately two years. Finley Fire has a 30 day return policy, which is clearly stated on the sales invoices provided to [redacted].Moreover, the sales invoices contain a disclaimer of warranties provision, which clearly states that the manufacturer ([redacted]) is responsible for any warranties on the hoses, if any.Because [redacted] has had the hoses for two years, Finley Fire has little or no ability to resell the hoses. Finley Fire disputes all of the claims made in [redacted]'s Complaint. Nevertheless, as a show of good faith, and in an effort to resolve this matter, Finley Fire is willing to arrange to pick-up the hoses and provide [redacted] a credit to purchase other products through Finley Fire, in an amount to be determined. Revdex.com:On April 14, 2016 [redacted] Chief [redacted] and their respective attorneys meet at Finley Fire Equipment headquarters to resolve this dispute between them relating to [redacted]’s purchase of fire hoses from Finley. After lengthy discussions, Finley Fire Equipment agreed to refund [redacted] $15,805.73 and pick up the hoses. This matter was successfully resolved after meeting each other, where a thorough understanding of each parties issues and mutual cooperation was established.  Even though this issue took a while to resolve, [redacted] Fire District would not hesitate to consider Finley Fire Equipment for any future purchases.
