Mr. Finley strikes you as a knowledgeable, honest and friendly chap as soon as you meet him. We had some previous experience with him, as he had spent decades doing wonderful masonry work as a journeyman bricklayer. He's just the type of person who makes you feel at ease if you're at all nervous about your knowledge of home construction/renovation type issues. Thus, we had no worries about hiring him. Mr. Finley communicates very well and he provided us with a clear, thorough, and detailed inspection report, complete with photos (report was emailed later on the day of inspection). He even included some "FYI's", which went above and beyond the inspection requirements, but are very helpful if you don't know where to find your main water shut-off, for example. He also informed us about radon gas, which is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking (we knew nothing about it). Radon is in everyone's home, especially the basement; Mr. Finley has experience with radon testing, so he can help you with that.

I had a home inspection from Wayne Finley in August 2016. He did a very thorough inspection of the place including going on the roof and looking at the condition of the shingles. He also used an infra red lens to show me the condition of the roof and insulation. He checked all the plumbing, doors joints, and moisture level in the basement. He was professional and answered any question that I had. He sent me an email later on in the day with pictures and suggestions of what should be done. I am very pleased with the job he did and would recommend him with no hesitation.
