Fir Lawn Memorial Park

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Approximately nine years ago while doing some pre-planning for myself and wife about our eventual passing, I talked to a representative at Fir Lawn about their mausoleum and how old the existing one was. I was told that they were going to build a new mausoleum just north of the present one. I decided to wait until that was completed. Seven years ago my wife passed unexpectedly and I had no choice but to place her in the older mausoleum. I had no time to "inspect" the condition of it nor the deteriorated roads. The "new" one was never built
In the past seven years I have complained several times to employee's about the terrible roads and the poor condition of the mausoleum(Some of those same employee's are no longer with Fir Lawn) I have written letters to the CEO of StoneMor and to the Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board all to no avail. I finally did receive a phone call from Justin Trowbridge that said they would be looking into replacing the tiles in the mausoleum (If they could fine the same) and "repairing" the roads. To me that meant repaving the roads and not just filling in the pot holes with temporary asphalt. (Some were done others not) I am attaching pictures of the roads as they look today
I feel as though I have been mislead a number of times since I first contacting Fir Lawn over nine years ago. It is my feeling that their primary goal is to sell their services but not maintain it once the sale has been made. The contract I signed with them states they would do just that in perpetuity but that has not been the case in my view. Had I known then what I know today I would have never placed my wife in their facility.

We are in receipt of your letter to us dated July 2016, regarding the complaint filed by the above referenced individualMr***, in his complaint, expressed his dissatisfaction with the upkeep of the roads in the cemetery and the condition of the mausoleum in which his
wife is entombed
We have looked into this matter, and offer our responseOur area manager for Fir Lawn Memorial Park, Justin T***, recently spoke to Mr*** about the items mentioned in his complaintMr*** was informed that we would be fixing the pot holes and, in turn, requested that the roads be repavedAt this time, we report that the pot holes have been filled in and we are in the process of getting bids on paving, however, at this time, we cannot state with certainty the time frame, if any, for the paving
Also, with respect to the mausoleums' condition, the cemetery is getting bids to fix all the tiles inside of the mausoleumIn the case where we find we cannot match the tiles, we will remove all existing tiles and carpet the entire mausoleumOur targeted fate for completion of the work to the mausoleum is sometime during August 2016.
