Response:

First and foremost, all emergency service calls are handled on a strict time and material basis. It is the nature of our business that correcting one weak point in a system may cause others to become apparent.

On November 26th 2012, Fire Control Sprinkler was contacted by the roadway inn for a service call in regards to a malfunctioning air compressor. We responded the same day. Once on site, a Fire Control Technician did indeed find that the air compressor was short cycling, due to a failing airline check valve and some rotting pipe. Fire control technician replaced the failing pipe and fittings, to wit are all documented on the invoice #[redacted].

At that time the problem was corrected and witnessed by [redacted], the air compressor was no longer short cycling and terry signed the work order and our tech left the site.

Several weeks later, our office received another call from Roadway Inn and suites. The symptoms had returned. Fire Control sent another tech to the site, who found no short cycling air compressor After an hour on site there appeared to be nothing wrong. Our tech waived the typical service call fee (2 hour minimum) and instructed the Roadway inn to phone us when the compressor was cycling so we could try to track down the problem. Everything was good.

Around 1 week fater, we received another call from Roadway Inn and suites. Now the air compressor was short cycling often and we immediately dispatched a service tech. This time [redacted] was sure that this was being caused by a repair that was made at an earlier date, made by a different fire sprinkler contractor, in a different area of the building. Our technician gained access to the attic in order to follow up on this matter. There was no leak present. Our tech identified the problem as a failing unloader check valve. He expressed this to terr/. [redacted] asked for a part number so he could find the part and make the repair himself We again waived the typical service charge (2 more hours).

Several weeks went by.

Then on February 14th, 2013 we received another call from Roadway Inn. This time we responded and found a leak in a downstream union. Our technician noticed signs of recent work being done on the air compressor.

This invoice has still rot been paid, lnvoice#[redacted]

Roadway Inn has contacted our office and I have had several conversations with them in regards to this matter, I told him this was not a part of any of the previous service calls and we would need to invoice him this time-1 had already waived two previous trips by our techs,

I told him if he did not pay that we would have to send this invoice out for collection. It was at that time that he filled this complaint.

I hope this helps to clear up the events that have lead us to point. It is our goal to provide a level of customer service that is unparalleled by any other company, and I believe we did just that We waived over $400 worth of service calls in an attempt to make all parties involved satisfied.

Should anyone have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, we are available for contact at our main office-

Response:

In response to the complaint filed by [redacted] at the Roadway Inn and suites please see below:

This is our second response in regards to this matter.

We here at Fire Control Sprinkler stand behind our first response. We have already written off more than 6 hrs of billable service calls.

Unfortunately there is nothing more I can do for this customer. I feel he will not be satisfied unless he receives a full refund. We did replace several system components and did indeed correct the issue.

We are here for contact at anytime during regular business hours.
