states that the consumer is responsible for the return of the product to the warehouse for inspection. I am unable to waive both portions of the policy; as I have waived the receipt portion, the product must be sent to the warehouse at Mr. [redacted]'s expense. I am not sure how to move this incident forward. I am awaiting the return of kettle for inspection.

The cost of shipping the defective product to the warehouse is that of the consumers. The cost of sending a replacement [redacted] (it is unlikely we will be able to repair your [redacted]) is the company's. Please see warranty policy listed below. The policy also states that the proof of purchase is necessary to open a warranty claim. I have waived this portion, knowing that the [redacted] is a warranty issue and needs to be dealt with. My wife and I registered for this and other Paderno products because we had an understanding that it came with a 25 year warranty. We purchased several Paderno products in the past because of this same warranty understanding. In this being our first necessary warranty claim, I can't say that I find it anything short of arduous, nor expected to be out money for shipping defective goods. [redacted] I'm not sure what there is to inspect, but am happy to return the [redacted] at no cost to me. We believed Paderno to be a premium brand of cookware and would have settled for a much less expensive brand if this was going to be the outcome of a warranty claim. Because this product was misrepresented as being warrantied and premium quality at the time of registry and subsequent purchase, we expect that the purchase money is returned to us in the amount of $56.49 (purchase price + HST). Please let me know in the next 24hrs that this will occur so I know 1) to file a product misrepresentation claim with the Revdex.com, and 2) if I should purchase Paderno products in the future.

Usually, we require a copy of your receipt of purchase to make a warranty claim. In this case, I will waive the receipt policy; however, the kettle will need to be shipped to the warehouse for inspection where it will either be repaired or replaced.

Here is a copy of our warranty policy:
Our stainless steel cookware, bakeware and flatware is guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects for 25 years.

This warranty does not cover problems arising from misuse, alteration, normal wear or improper care, dents, or breakage, nor does it cover cookware used for non-food purposes. We will, at our sole option, repair or replace any defective parts free of charge with the original sales receipt; however, shipping transportation costs are at the expense of the consumer.

Within 1 year of purchase,
defective product is to be returned to place of purchase with copy of receipt. After 1 year of purchase, please contact us directly by phoning our Warranty Department at [redacted] Ext [redacted] or by email at [redacted].
Customer must have proof of purchase
and the
product before any warranty claim is dealt with.

Yes we have spent the past (2) weeks attempting to clean the [redacted] inside with stainless cleaner and a scrub however the rusted areas remain and we no longer want to use water from the [redacted] for consumption. As mentioned previously we received the product for our wedding as a gift, so I have attached our gift registry for proof of purchase (see page 4, $49.99).

Thank you for your email and pictures. We recommend using a stainless steel cleaner; such as, a [redacted]'s [redacted] or our own [redacted] and a nylon scrubbing pan.
You may have to soak the [redacted] in the solution before scrubbing. If after trying this method, you continue to have issues; please contact me.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The "warranty" was never disclosed to the customer at time of purchase in that they would incur cost for defective products. The warranty was also a fundamental condition on why the [redacted] was purchased, which is product misrepresentation. Knowing this, we would have purchased a [redacted] at 1/4th the cost. We don't find that "waiving" the receipt stipulation to be of any significance, we provided a copy of registry and purchase price to show proof of purchase, Paderno can't honestly believe we fabricated these documents. [redacted]. Surely the cost of a replacement [redacted] is less than the time and resources being spent on this matter by Paderno. The longer this issue drags out, the less confidence and willingness I have to purchase Paderno products or recommend them to others.
