Hoffman Hotel Apartments is a private parking lot there are signs posted stating that it was for resident parking only and cars would be towed at owners expenseThose signs went up days prior to residents moving into the buildingThe
Morris Performing Arts Center also states on their website that the Hoffman parking lot is a private parking lot

South Bend City Ordinance requires signs to be visible from all parking spotsAs I said before, where I was parked there were NO visible signsThere was a sign about spots down- that I saw on the way out because I walked in front of the heavy machinery that was blocking it!
I am not from SB and I do not know who own what, and I received ticket to a play as a gift- I HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE- so I had no idea, had the signs been visible I would not have parked here! I get upset when people who aren't handicapped park in designated spaces- SO NO, I WOULD NOT have parked herePlus the signs that are there do not say the lot is private- one could misinterpret them as being 'spots'
I agree there are signs but they are not visible from all parking areas and the one that I may have been able to see was blocked by heavy equipment! Plus since this time I see that you have placed more signs so you must have agreed the signage was not adequate!
Plus the towing company you hired was very unprofessional and you are responsible for your contracts!- They have a tough business but they have no right to refuse to tell people (including the police) if they have your car, or to force people to sign a statement that indicates you vehicle had scratches and dents BEFORE letting you see your car (I asked to see it first and was told that is to protect them and they would NOT give me the car unless I signed first)REAL PROFESSIONAL! They are your contracted people- Is that who you want representing you?
I agree that the tenants should have full access to those spots no argumentMy argument is that you needed signs visible from all location there was not any where I parkedI had NO idea it was a private lot!
As this picture shows- there are no visible signs- I was parked between the red car and silver one (3rd spot) there is a pole there- NO SIGN TO BE SEEN)This is why I feel your hotel should reimburse the feeHad there been signs there, I would have been mad at myself- but it would have been my fault this is not!
