Fireside Properties Inc. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 PO Box 954 Vail Co 81658 Revdex.com 8020 S. County Rd. 5, Ste 100 Fort Collins, CO 80528 [redacted]:Fireside Properties manages a building located in Vail Village that is commercial and residential....

This specific property has ties to another HOA (A, B & C) that was developed by the same individual however the owner sold the units off as condominiums in the 70's and deeded the parking "air" spaces within his garage to the specific units while retaining development & easement rights and maintenance charges to be borne by the condominiums (A, B & C). These specific condominiums (A, B & C) are managed by a separate firm as acting licensed Agent.  Fireside has a contract with the owner of the commercial and residential building (D) to maintain the property and perform routine annual maintenance on a time and materials basis. Fireside has no contract with the individual owners, Agent or HOA (A, B & C) of this specific property. We are only a service provider to our contracted clients per the terms and rates of our contracts. Occasionally there is a situation that involves us dealing with a non-contractual entity, "customer" as in this case. Our rates for those customers are defined as Time and Materials cost plus. The owner of building D has a parking policy of one space, one vehicle, one card which Fireside is to enforce and keep records of parking cards and violations. First Complainant Interaction; The individual who filed the complaint withheld information and lied to Fireside Properties, stating they lost their card in 2014. Fireside was on-site performing maintenance at the time at Building D and promptly issued a new card to the said owner. After talking with the owner's rental agent, it was discovered that the owners had lied to obtain a second card to park in the Vail Village for free as they own a townhouse at the golf course and wanted the convenience of having additional free parking. After discovery Fireside contacted the said owner and informed them of the building owner's policy and instructed them one of the cards would be deactivated. Fireside also went to the rental management agent and refunded the $50 card fee to the owners rental escrow account as a credit with the bookkeeper. Second Complainant Interaction; Said owner called a personal cell phone at 6:04 pm after regular business hours on Friday June 24th, 2016. The owner was requesting a new garage card due to loss. The voicemail went unanswered as it is a personal cell phone and directs individuals to call the Fireside Properties office number during regular business hours for non-emergency situations.  Fireside never received a follow up response until June 29th, again to a personal cell phone. At that time the owner answered and spoke with the said client who stated they needed a new card due to loss by June 30th for real estate closing. Please note that Fireside has internal company policies outlining priorities to be 1) contractual 2) emergencies 3) customers, in that order. This specific situation was neither an emergency nor a contractual client, going into the busiest weekend of the summer for our company and industry. I however took the time out my day to address the situation and informed the owner I would take care of their request, which required a round trip to Vail from our Avon office during holiday construction traffic. Issuing a new card requires setting up a laptop to the gate modem and downloading all of the information in the system, editing the card change and then uploading the new information to the modem. This roundtrip and time on-site creating a new card required two hours of work on Firesides part, billed at $50 per hour at T&M to include the $50 building D owner card fee. The total for the expense was $150.00 which was invoiced accordingly and paid for by the owner's realtor upon receipt from the Fireside office on 6/29/2016. Fireside continued from that point to receive in excess of 10 missed calls on a personal cell phone on 6/30/16. The said owner also called the Fireside office and harassed the office manager and then harassed the operations manager at the Vail Golf Course Townhomes where their second home resides. During these harassments, the owner was slandering the owner of Fireside, if needed Fireside employees will attest to this and file suit of slander.  The owner also answered the 11th (est.) call on his cell phone and explained the situation in a calm reasonable manner: Fireside performs work at time and materials for customers by request and they were charged accordingly. At that time the owner was told he was unethical and an ae before the phone line went dead. Please note that Fireside did not lose the card or create a situation that required immediate attention, the complainant did. They also called and requested a service from Fireside Properties; the real estate seller's agent and selling agent can attest to the request for service which  justifies payment for services rendered.  Please also note that the complainant did not actually lose the card and had it in her possession on June 30th 2016 as she stated on the phone call regarding explanation of fees. "I found the card and have it right here"! We have also attached an owner testimonial to our work ethic and services; Testimonials I have had the honor to know Chad R[redacted] and his team at Fireside Properties for three years. They came to us highly recommended by the property management community and have not disappointed. They have managed our Townhomes consistently excelling the norm with exceptional knowledge and care.Chad and his team are extremely professional in all areas of property management and rise to the challenge to the most difficult situations and individuals with poise and dignity. I have the sincere pleasure to recommend him with confidence they will outperform anyone's expectations. - Vail OwnerMy family has owned property in the Valley since 1979, a stretch that has allowed me particularly within the last decade — to familiarize myself with the property service players in the Valley and form judgments among them. Chad and Jill distinguish themselves as property managers in three areas: Integrity, work ethic, and excellence in execution. From the standpoint of work-ethic Fireside is unparalleled within the Valley, and I suspect would measure quite favorably against any firm nation-wide. The language used to describe their dedication might be confused for hyperbole, but this would be a mistake: Simply put, Fireside pegs its energies to the demand of the job, not the letter of the contract. There is an unmistakable ruggedness in the way both Chad and Jill approach their business with a duel sense of duty and pride, coupled with a willingness to build a strong foundation for their company. - Vail OwnerAs an out of state property Owner, you're always in need of accurate and timely answers to various questions that "will" arise, in order to protect your investment, and I found Fireside Properties to be superb in fulfilling my requests. They are consistently willing to help satisfy a problem or arrive at a solution. They're a very patient group of dedicated individuals that work well as a team. I sincerely admire their professionalism and integrity. - Vail OwnerI have sold my condo, thank you so much for your time and commitment in serving as our property manager! It has truly been a pleasure working with you and I wish you much success in the future! - Avon OwnerDear Fireside Team, thank you so much for all your support and effort on our behalf - Avon OwnerSincerely, Chad R[redacted] CEO and Director of Operations Fireside Properties Inc.

the owner of this company is condescending jerk! I work in the Hotel Industry and was shocked at this person's guest service skills. I pay $1480 a month, work nights and sleep during the day. I am an overnight supervisor at a five star hotel. Without notice, they started testing the fire alarms over 30 times, 100 decibels for thirty seconds every single time! After about ten I went outside, and the owner of the HOA told me to "[redacted] OFF, and buy a unit if I wanted to talk to him. He then stated that he might be testing towers for one maybe two day, however long it takes. If I had a problem, he just had the annual owners meeting and he can't be fired. Have a nice day!" The owner of Fireside Property Management is a Jerk. He has no class!!!
