The first contact we had with the customer was a day or two prior to the vehicle being towed into our shop (towed in late Thursday, May 7th, 2015)At no time was there a 'no start' issue mentioned to us by the customer, his concern being the
steam/mist emanating from the front of the vehicle after it had been driven for a whileIf a 'no start' condition had been brought to our attention we would have immediately checked the charging/starting system for any issues relating to a 'no start' before proceeding to look into the steam/mist condition
After checking the heating/cooling and A/C systems we determined that the A/C compressor had failed, producing a very large amount of compressor oil/Freon mix on the passenger front sub-frameThe A/C relay at that time was functioning normally as per the A/C relay 'normally-open' type testing procedures as outlined in ***'s SE repair/testing proceduresAfter conversing with the customer in regards to the pricing of the repair we supplied the option of replacing the compressor with a used unit from a scrap yard in lieu of a new unit which was double the priceThe first unit delivered from the scrap yard was visibly damaged on the front pulley and clutch area, obviously from having been dropped with a noticeable dent in the pulley and possible internal damage to the compressor clutch so we sent a driver to the scrap yard Saturday morning to pick up another unitThe second unit was visibly ok but as with all used parts there is no guarantee of the functionality of the unitThis being more within the customers budget we proceeded with the replacement of the A/C compressor, Receiver Drier, recharge of the A/C system, performed a requested oil change and free tire rotationAfter completion of the repair and other services we ran the vehicle for approximately 20-minutes and everything was functioning properly at that time
We did not at any time experience a 'no start' or have any starting issues with the vehicle while it was at our shopThe vehicle was picked up on Saturday May 10th, At no time did the customer call us to express his dissatisfaction with any of the services providedAs a professional repair facility we stand by our service and would not hesitate to recheck and address any issuesTo this point the customer has given us no opportunity to address and rectify any concernsWe still have the faulty compressor unit in our possession as proof of the work performed and of the failure of the unit

I was very clear about the new battery and that even after I replaced it, it happened againAfter I got my car back the same exact events where occurring! Battery diesI jump itCompressor discharges sprayThat is standing by their work?
the work they did was wrongI have the invoice from the mechanic that made the proper corrections, AND I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE! Firestone did nothing, but take my money
