It's a jokeThey can't replace the break pads on a VW CCI called and got an estimateI make an appointment for the next day and drop off the carI get a call a few hours later that they don't work on cars with electronic parking breakAre you kidding me? It's a Volkswagen, not a LamborginiTo top it all my wife got verbally harrassed by one of the technicians, a tall African-American gentlemen, when she asked for directions how to get from the bays to the front officeIn fairness to the shop, the manager [redacted] was very polite and appologeticStill, that doesn't make up for waisting my time and for the attitude given by one of the employees

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/02/27) */
The issue has been rectified

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2014/09/05) */
Firestone complete auto care values the opinion of each and every customerAfter hearing of this incident, we had a third party investigate the issuesThe third party determined that "impact" was most likely the cause of damage
Unfortunately neither Firestone nor the third party can determine "when" the impact occurredWe respect the opinion of our customers and welcome each and every opportunity to help explain and educate people on the complexity of today's vehicles
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 17, 2014/09/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Firestone did reimburse me the money for the tires after a complaint was filed with their corporate headquartersI find it highly unlikely that they would think a customer with full auto insurance coverage on their car would purposely take a damaged car to have new tires and a front end alignment doneI am disappointed that they would not return the money immediately and did not show better customer serviceThey did the right thing in the end, but it did not come from this Clovis store

I would like to review for you FireStone Auto Care located in Pompano Beach, I had my car serviced there today and just had to comment on how professional, and helpful the staff was Our service representatives name was *** and we cannot say how much we appreciated his help in solving our problem

It's a joke. They can't replace the break pads on a 2009 VW CC. I called and got an estimate. I make an appointment for the next day and drop off the car. I get a call a few hours later that they don't work on cars with electronic parking break. Are you kidding me? It's a 2009 Volkswagen, not a Lamborgini. To top it all my wife got verbally harrassed by one of the technicians, a tall African-American gentlemen, when she asked for directions how to get from the bays to the front office. In fairness to the shop, the manager ** was very polite and appologetic. Still, that doesn't make up for waisting my time and for the attitude given by one of the employees.

Review: Firestone tire & service replaced the breaks and rotors on my 2005 chevy but the breaks are still squeaking and they refuse to fix the problem. I was overcharged for the service provided and I expect my car to run with no problem.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the repairs done appropiately or have a refund so I can take it some where else.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9697184, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However after the new parts were installed I find that the original service was not performed.

Regards,

Review: I took my car into Firestone for a routine maintenances. Suddenly the following day my car starting telling me that the coolant was low. Having a friend who works on cars, he took a look and told me not only was my coolant empty but none of the fluids looked they were filled. My car is a 2012 Volkswagen CC. Before going to firestone I never had any issues with the car. After my servicing I now have some problems that were never there before and my car blows large amounts of white smoke out of the exhaust. Also about 3 days after taking my car tofirestone the servicing light came back on. Had all things been filled correctly and the proper customer service been given this would not of happened. I would like a full refund for the servicing that I paid for as I now need to go get another servicing to have all the fluids filled up as well as figure out what else is wrong with the car now.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the full price I paid as I now have to take my car elsewhere to get looked at and for a routine servicing.

Business

Response:

This vehicle came into our shop with no coolant in the coolant reservoir. We estimated a coolant diag. for this customer and as you can see she declined. Just changing her oil will not cause white smoke to blow out the vehicles tail pipes. It sounds to me that the vehicle must have been overheated and perhaps might have a blown casket. Prior to our service. With a vehicle inspection the only fluids that we top off would be the washer fluid. Thanks,[redacted]

Review: 1.In June 2013 Ms. [redacted] odometer was improperly tampered with without her knowledge or consent. Ms. [redacted] noticed the odometer difference before she left the parking lot after the repairs were completed and then was told a used odometer was used to replace Ms. [redacted]. 2.Ms. [redacted] odometer as noted on the receipt was 89,369. When she took possession from Firestone the odometer reading was 150,300.3.Per Title 28050-28053 of the California Vehicle code the proper mileage should have been recorded via a sticker on the door frame, and/or rolled back to zero on the odometer. Neither of these steps were taken by Firestone employees [redacted] and [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] was flatly told they would not take any steps to remedy the odometer.4.As a result, Ms. [redacted] has suffered the following:a.decrease in value of her car due to the inflated odometer reading.b.Increased insurance costs due to her insurer noting she drove more than anticipated.c.Unanticipated repairs due to key failure of encrypted key not matching new dashboard configuration.Desired Settlement: According to CA Vehicle Code here are the potential remedies:Diminution in resale value of vehicle with altered odometer;Increased insurance costs of fraudulently inflated value;Reasonable attorney fees;Cost of unanticipated repairs and maintenance; andValue of vehicle with fraudulent mileage minus value of vehicle with actual mileage.

Response:

I. [redacted]. talked to [redacted] on 7/11/14 @ 4:20p.m. regarding his concern. I advised him that, at no charge go him. during his next oil change we will do a repair to his oil pan consisting of tapping new threads into the oil pan and Installing a new oil drain plug. This repair is consistent with a printout from a forum that [redacted] had brought into my location regarding the causes of oil drain pan threads becoming stripped. [redacted] stated that he is not sure what route he would like to go at this time and he will contact me back if he has any other questions or concerns.
