I received charges to my credit card, one for and one for -- I only received one product and yet was charged for 2-- I ordered neither-- it was an auto-delivery situation and the perosn I spoke to -- you should have read the fine print He would not tell me how to return the product and I still have not received the the other product for which I was charged Clearly this is a scam

If you have signed up fro Firmacare, and it also automatically signed you up for "luminous beauty" at the same time, make sure that you call BOTH companies within the first 14 days to request a refund. They claim to be two different companies, so you will think that you withdrew your subscription, when you only withdrew one.

Regardless of how effective the product is (I think it is equivalent to most over the counter creams ), this is a dangerous and predatory company. Buyer, beware!

My elderly mother-in-law signed up for a "free" sample of Firmacare "Active Anti-Aging Treatment" for the cost of shipping and handling, not realizing she was signing up for monthly auto-shipments and that her credit card would be charged $89.73 for the sample if she didn't return it in 14 days, and would be charged $89.73 every month after that. She didn't like the product and didn't use it, but didn't know how to cancel it. She was confused why she was receiving shipments and kept thinking they had stopped when a few weeks went by, but then of course another would arrive. The company includes a piece of paper in each shipment, and the back side has program information in tiny font, which my mother-in-law couldn't read. Buried in the 22 paragraphs of text is information on how to cancel auto-shipments. My mother-in-law finally told us about the situation and we called the company to cancel. By then she had five unopened shipments, for which she had paid $488. The company wouldn't take back any shipments, even those completely unopened. They will only accept return of the initial sample within fourteen days.

This company's business and sales tactics are unscrupulous, and prey on confused elderly people. If you go to Firmacare.com, the home page prompts you for your contact information to receive a free sample. Only if you scroll to the very bottom of the long home page, or click on the "Terms and Conditions" hyperlink and read the lengthy legal terms, do you see that you will receive the product each month and your credit card will be billed $89.73 each time. Additionally your credit card will be billed for the "free" sample unless you return it in 14 days. You don't enter your credit card number on the home page, but apparently they obtain it when they prompt you for the free sample shipping charges on a subsequent screen.

The Firmacare advertisement claims that their products (Firmacare & Luminous) should be used together and are endorsed by Dr. Oz. The advertisements lead you to believe that Dr. Oz, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, and Katie Couric all endorse and use this product with positive results. This is untrue.

You will be told you are receiving a Free Trial (you pay under $10 for shipping and handling only). They send the Luminous to you immediately, then wait a full week to send the Firmacare (the two are supposed to be used together, so if you are following directions, you haven't used ANY of the products, and it is already 10 days after you originally ordered). You now have 4 days left (of the 14 CALENDAR day "Trial Period" before they start charging your credit card $89.73 for your "Free Trial." And they will continue sending you product and charging your credit card $89.73 every 30 days thereafter.

This means you HAD BETTER call their 1 (800) 378-2705 Customer Service Line the VERY DAY you receive your "Free Trial" (which comes on Friday), because their office is not open on the weekend, and the computer says you bought the product one day earlier than your invoice states...meaning, if you waited until Monday (after having used the products for only 3 days), you would be "outside of the 14 day Trial Period" and would already have been charged the first $89.73, and on your way to the next $89.73 charge, and you would still have NO iDEA whether you liked the product, or not.

Further, the advertisements say you must wait at least two weeks to begin to see "results." If you wait a minimum of two weeks to see if you see results (and you'll be encouraged to wait six weeks), it is now 24 days after you first ordered your "Free Trial"--another six days, and they will have already charged your credit card another $89.73 for your second round. This will continue to happen, every 30 days, until you call (and call again), trying to negotiate their "Customer Service" line.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A "FREE TRIAL"?

However, IF YOU DO call them to cancel all orders on the VERY DAY you receive the second of the two products, their computer will ask you immediately if you would like to cancel your order. DO this! Once you have cancelled, it will ask you if you would like to keep the products (rather than paying to ship them back), for a mere $38.71. You can also choose to "hear other options." If you choose to "speak to a representative," you will wait on hold for a very long time, only to be disconnected. CALL BACK! WAIT AGAIN! DO NOT GET OFF THE PHONE UNTIL YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO SOMEONE, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY PRESSED THE BUTTON TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER (and MAKE them give you your "Cancellation Number" verbally, over the phone!). There is fine print that says you must give them your full address and email information, or your return "will be delayed." When I finally got a representative on the phone, the computer-generated cancellation had NOT gone through. She asked me for my home address and email address (but she will not prompt you to give both pieces of information in full--so be sure to do that on your own), then she offered me an even lower price to "keep the product"--now she offered $28.71, rather than $38.71--BUT, then she hurried to end the call, and quickly reiterated $38.71. When I asked to speak to a supervisor (several times), she would continually say no one was available, "but they would call me back." Now, she took the price down to $18.71. I insisted that I had no reason to trust their company, and that they had my personal information and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Now she is saying I can just return the unused product. I said, "But I will have to pay shipping AGAIN, on something I haven't used, when there was NO FINE PRINT on the pop-up ad that came onto my phone about "Oprah and Dr. Oz and their highly recommended product" that indicated anything other than a truly "FREE" TRIAL, and I wanted to talk to a supervisor about their patently false advertisement and about their extremely predatory business practices. NOW, she said she would generate a shipping code so that I could return the unused product for free "return to sender."

If you think this hassle is worth the time and sickening feeling of being ripped off, plus spending around $10 on shipping and handling FOR NOTHING but grief, GO AHEAD AND TRY "THE MIRACLE FIRMACARE + LUMINOUS"--though BE AWARE, I am pretty sure neither Dr. Oz nor Oprah have ever heard of it, and if you don't call to cancel the minute it arrives, and then wait on hold for over an hour, your credit card is going to feel the pain of the charges. That is the only part of this story that is TRULY GUARANTEED.

I hope you don't wind up feeling like a duped fool, like I do right now. Better to just buy some good cream at a department store. For the price of this stuff per ounce, you can choose any make up counter you like, and buy their best.
