Don't ever do business with a company who has to lie. They definitely lie! If you have to lie to get people to buy your service, there is something wrong. They keep telling me they have a buyer, Brandon (which I overheard someone else in the same call center also say to whomever he was talking to). It's just to get you to listen so they can give their sales pitch. They were "desparate" for an agent in Travis county because the agent they had left (do they know how big Travis County is?) I wasn't initially at a computer so I kept him on the phone until I was and when I looked up the company's reviews, they were terrible! And revealed more lies! So I asked them to give me one of their websites and I tested it out as a consumer (I hung up with the saleman and told him that I was not going to give him my credit card when I didn't really understand what I was paying for and they refused to give me anything in writing). I was immediately called back from the same area code as the salesperson had called me from and "qualified"-not very thoroughly. And guess what? They do have an agent in this area which they gave me (one of the complaints was they give your information to multiple agents but I was only given one and haven't gotten any calls yet, from that agent nor any others.) So the thing about desparately needing an agent because they have all these leads and no one to take them is BS. I also wonder what would have happened to Brandon had I given my credit card? I'm sure he would've disappeared somehow. Good thing they don't have my information! This is a scam.

It all sounds great, once they get your money it goes down hill real quick. They give the same leads to all Realtor's in your area and they don't tell you that upfront. So in conclusion if your really quick and good at competing for some ones business it may work for you.

I just had the most despicable and unacceptable experience with this company. Their sales agent calls me today to tell me they had a lead for me, told me the lead's name was Willie and said he wanted to buy a home and could he refer Willie to me. I asked what company was he calling from (thinking the sales guy was another realtor) he said First2contact and the service would be $100 or so a month to sign up. I hung up the phone when I realized it was a sales pitch. He immediately called me back telling me how much of a horrible person I was for hanging up on him. I told him to NEVER contact me again and if he did, I would report him. 15 minutes later I get an email from him that reads...
I'm a real human being. I have a life, job, family just like you. I offered you a kind, personable tone over the phone, yes I'm a telemarketer, but that's my job it doesn't make me a sleazy human. Just because someones a stripper it doesn't make them a whore, does it?

All I ask is that you treat people with kindness no matter how they approach you. Especially if that person offers you kindness. Life is to short to hang up on someone while they are speaking. It is extremely rude and indicative of your personality traits.

I wish you the best of luck in your career and future home sales. Good day.

Thank you,

David Myers | First2Contact

First of all I told him not to contact me ever again and secondly, as a female, I find this email to be not only repulsive and unprofessional but scary as well and I think this guy needs to be fired.

After reviewing the complaint, we have trained our sales representative on proper phone etiquette, even with difficult interactions with prospective customers. As for the legitimacy concerns this complaint contains, they are all completely unfounded. We have been in business since and
have over customers across North AmericaThe product the complainant was introduced to was a subscription based service to receive lead information of prospective home buyers and home sellers. There is no referral or referral fee involved. We appreciate the feedback, have addressed the portion that was applicable and consider this matter closed. Kind Regards, Adam C***

If you want an idea of how badly this company sucks at lead generation, just ponder the fact that they can't even do a decent job of generating their own leads for themselves! These i***s call me several times a month and I keep telling them that I have been out of real estate for over a year. And yet they just keep calling, claiming to have gotten my name and number from my former broker's website, which I have not been featured on for over a year.

I guess if you want out of date leads from people who have no interest in you, go ahead and use them. Personally, I think you'd do better cold calling out of the phone book than using this company.

Leads are a joke. Some didn't remember ever filling out a contact form related to real estate. the ones that did remember filled out an on line form for hud homes. some remember filling out for section 8 housing. Not one could qualify for a home over 100,000 to 200,000 based on they're guess. Non wanted to work with an agent they were just looking around on the internet. Don't fall for this company. They say they have a lead ready they just got and want to give it to you. You sign up and no lead ever shows up. They send out a lot of junk and old leads, none of them were any good.

told me that they had a lead ready to go, this lead wanted to buy in my area now!
wanted 145.00 per month got them down to 89.00 for the first month. said they would send me this one lead and ten other leads.
I demanded to get this in and e-mail before I give my credit card. said he cant do that but the person who took my info would.

This person refused to give me an e-mail and told me that I would only be guaranteed 3 leads.
They transferred me back to sales agent he then said he took care of it and sent me to a 3rd person who was not aware of what the sales person guaranteed. me. I was hung up on cause I got mad and I called the sales person back and he told me that I was not the type of person they wanted to do business with and hung up on me.

I suppose if you want to get in writing what you are paying for then you are not the person for them.

Not going to give my money to a company that wants to promise you the world but gets upset just asking if I can get that in writing before I pay them.

Run away

This company solicited me by phone and promised 6-7 real estate leads per month. When I asked if the leads were for potential purchasers of properties in the price range of the average house in my area he asked me how much is the average house in your area? I said 450,000 was the cost of the average home in my area and he said yes, some of the leads he had in hand and would send me as soon as I sign up were in that price range. I paid the $129 for one month subscription and about 6 or 7 leads came but they were for buyers looking for homes between $100,000 and $280,000, well below the average cost home in the 400,000 range for the medain cost of a home in my area. I was lied to blatantly.
