September 22, 2016To Whom It May Concern:I am writing this letter in response to a complaint filed with the Revdex.com on September 9, The complaint ID is *** (***)After reviewing this complaint made by *** *** understand his was disappointment when he found out the engine he wanted to
purchase had been sold, however, I don't feel that there was any wrong doing on the part of Boots and Hanks because there had not been any monetary transaction, written promise or agreement to sell the engine to this customer.On September 1, *** *** called our office looking for a *** *** *** engineWe had just gotten a truck earlier that day with the engine he was enquiring aboutIt had not yet been tested or inspected and there was no knowledge of the condition of the engineWe stated that the truck had come in and the engine needed to be inspected before placing it into inventoryThere was a chance that the engine would be tested the following day if there weren't other engines already scheduled for testingWe spoke to *** *** on Friday September 2, telling him that the engine had not been tested yet and it was scheduled for testing Tuesday September 6, because September 5, was a holiday.On Tuesday, September 6, the *** *** engine was tested late in the day and a phone call was placed to *** ***, there was no answerIn the initial conversation with *** *** he stated that he was a pilot and sometimes did not have phone service.On Wednesday, September 7, *** *** called about the engineAfter testing the engine on Tuesday a different salesman received a lead call and took a deposit on the engine so it was no longer available for sale*** *** was upset that the engine was no longer availableHe stated that he would have put a deposit on the engine before it was tested to hold itOur policy is not to take any money on inventory until it has been tested and placed into stockI did apologize that this unit was no longer available for sale by the time *** *** called back, Wednesday morningThe engine *** *** was interested in is extremely popular and once placed into stock they sell very quicklyUpon speaking with *** *** we told him that if another *** *** *** engine became available we would call him to let him knowOn September 14, we placed a call to *** *** to let him know we had another *** ***, 6NZ become availableAgain he did not answer his phone.I am sorry *** *** was upset he was unable to purchase this engine, however, we will not take any deposits on inventory we have not tested and placed into stockAt this point we do not have an engine available for *** ***If you need any additional information relating to this complaint, please do not hesitate to contact us at ***Thank you,
