Please consider this our updated response to this complaint Alamo Colleges has been in contact with the student A meeting was scheduled for last week to review the account with the student The student was not able to make the meeting due to work scheduling Another meeting with the student has been set up for this week [redacted] Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Fiscal Services WHouston Street San Antonio, TX 78207- [redacted]

Alamo Colleges apologizes to Mr*** for not responding to his two emails to Dr***. We care deeply about issues and concerns brought to our attention - and our practice is to look thoroughly at each situation. We missed these emails and are sincerely sorry for not responding to Mr***
The Texas Veterans Commission has repeatedly denied our request to make these training programs eligible for Federal Veterans benefits. As a result of Mr***'s concern, Alamo Colleges has secured a conversation with the Director of the Texas Veterans Commission to discuss this issue. She has agreed to work with *** *** of the Alamo Colleges to re-evaluate the truck-driving courses for eligibility for VA benefits.
We sincerely appreciate the key role Mr*** has played in providing an opportunity to re-dress this issue with VA and to hopefully get these courses qualified in the future for VA benefits

As far as receiving VA benefits for a CDL course, the Texas – Veterans Commission does not support our request to qualify our “Non-Semester Credit” training programs for Federal Veterans benefits.  We have made repeated attempts and each request has been denied.  We believe our workforce training is exactly what the intent of VA funding is designed to do; provide veterans with licensure and certification in demand occupations.

The Associate Vice Chancellor over this CDL program has reached out to Mr. [redacted] to explain further and to get more information on who he might of spoken to so we can afford additional training for those individuals.    Tell us why here...
