Thank you for
your inquiry with the Revdex.com
We understand
that the claim process may be stressful for some of our policyholders such as yourself,
particularly when you
have to move out of your apartment and find a new place
to live for you and your children.
In your case,
a few weeks after the subject kitchen fire incident you were advised by the
property management company that you had to move out of the apartment so that
repairs could begin. On October 2, 2014, immediately upon your request
for assistance with relocation, we agreed to put you and your family in a hotel
until such time, you could find a more suitable apartment. We also
advised you of your deductible of $*** and the policy limit of $*** for Loss
of Use
Because we
recognize the fact that the maximum policy limit for loss of use is $***, we
also are mindful of the urgency of the need for you to find a new apartment as
the limit of $*** would quickly be incurred
Although we empathize with how time consuming it
is to relocate and find a new apartment, we strongly urge to complete this
process as quickly as you could so that you and your family won’t have to be
displacedV

We recognize that the claim process may cause stress to

4 policy requires you to
comply with the following duties after the loss has occurred:
We call your attention to the following pertinent policy
languages:

AFTER LOSS
In case of a loss to covered property, we have no duty to
provide coverage under this policy if the failure to comply with the following
duties is prejudicial to us.  These
duties must be performed either by you, an “insured” seeking coverage, or a representative
of either:

5. Cooperate with us in the investigation of a claim
6. Prepare an inventory of damaged personal property,
showing the quantity, description, actual cash value and amount of loss.  Attach all bills, receipts and related
documents that justify the figures in the inventory;
7. As often as we reasonably require:
a. Show the damaged property;
b. Provide us with records and documents we request and
permit us to make copies, and
c. Submit to examination under oath, while not in the
presence of another “insured”, and signed the same.
The above referenced policy languages are standard
insurance languages in most if not all of the insurance contracts.  Based on the duty to cooperate and as part of
our standard claim investigation procedures, we have asked you thus far to
provide a statement of facts surrounding this loss as well as forwarding  any and all supporting documentation
including a complete list of stolen personal properties  any and all receipts etc.
We continue to ask for your cooperation and compliance so
that we can timely complete our investigation and adjustment of your claim.
