Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
This vehicle is not as was represented to me at the time of sale It was represented as being in great condition with a perfect service record It apparently had not even been examined because it had a massive oil leak after less than miles driven- including the test drive mileage Considering how I was treated by the sales manager in response to this issue I have lost all confidence in this organization and their ability to deal fairly with their customer Yesterday I was contacted by the salesman who was hoping that merely replacing a malfunctioning sensor would satisfy the complaint I find it difficult to believe that while the mechanic was replacing the sensor he failed to notice the evidence of what appeared to me to be multiple oil leaks When a vehicle is supposed to be in tip-top shape it should not hemorrhage oil, as this one did This vehicle WAS NOT AS REPRESENTED regardless of the fact that it is a used car I continue to want my check returned to me and the contract rescinded as requested within hours of the sale

Re: Tyrrell-Doyle ***
Complaint # ***
Please be advised that after my visit with Tyrrell-Doyles service department on 7/31/2014, I never heard from them againEven though I had paid $for a part they had to "order."
As of August 18, 2014, I STILL had NOT heard from them
So, I drove miles (one way) to Fort Collins to talk to the *** *** *** Service Department re: my *** CRVI spoke with Mr*** ***He's one of their "Service Consultants." I told him what had been done to me at Tyrrell-DoyleI let him review the bill
Mr*** noted that they had billed be twice for the same partHe was also shocked that Tyrrell-Doyle actually charge me an ADDITIONAL $for a valve adjustmentMr*** said : "On your car, when a timing belt service is done, it is standard procedure to do the valve adjustment as PART OF THE SERVICE."
Because I STILL had not heard from Tyrrell-Doyle since July 31, I asked Mr*** if *** would install the "Air Conditioner Pulley" for meHe said they wouldIt would cost me $labor
I called Tyrrell-Doyle's parts department*** told me that my $pulley was IN FACT inI told him I'd pick it up
Upon arrival at Tyrrell-Doyle I met with *** the parts guyHe would not give me my part until I spoke with Mr*** *** their "Service Manager."
Mr*** told me that he was "Sorry" for "OVER CHARGING" me on July He acknowledged the fact that I had even been charged TWICE for the same part and that I shouldn't have been made to pay $OVER what I was quoted by *** the service writer
Mr*** offered me a check for $and said " Give us another chance and we'll install that air conditioner pulley at no chargeI won't charge you labor."
As uncomfortable and un-easy and untrusting as I felt, I gave it some thought and decided to TRY to trust themI accepted the $check and agreed to bring my car back on Tuesday, August 19, at
On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, I met with Mr*** againHe assured me that my car would be fixed and the air conditioner pulley would be installed at no costIt appeared that Mr*** did his best to represent Tyrrell-Doyle ***'s Service Center in a positive light
It appears that my car has been repaired and, as of this letter (or e mail) has no other known or visible issues
Thank You For Your Help,

Ms. [redacted], you state that you took the Equinox to "my mechanic" and even stated that your salesman advised you to do so, yet you say we did not allow you to do this.  Once finished with your mechanic, you contacted us and were asked to bring it into our service department so we could assist you with any concerns you had.  We did address those concerns.
As attached, you did sign acknowledgement of "AS-IS - NO WARRANTY" - which states:  You will pay for all costs for any repairs.  The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about vehicle.  Although you did sign this, we did take care of repairs at NO CHARGE to you.
In your latest response, you state three new issues.  Our technicians are highly-trained professionals and there would be absolutely no reason for us to over-fill the oil nor over-inflate the tires nor touch the PVC hose.
We did these repairs to take care of you, Ms. [redacted].
At this point, we feel we have done all we can to assist you.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I do not have " Additional information " for review.  There is a five page narative explaining what was done.
Also, I was told that the part that mysteriously became defective while in yor shop, would be in on August 5th. I was also made to pay for that part, on July 31st.  As of this respnse, I have heard nothing from your business.
Regards,
[redacted]

Against my better judgment and several people warning me not to go here, this dealership has the part that I needed for my car to fix the air conditioning. Will never recommend Chevy to anyone, I will drive to Fort Collins before I use this dealership.

Never been there before, stopped by in the afternoon around 3pm to check on the price of a part and see what the potential cost for labor was. The service advisor I was speaking to, said the parts office was closed... AT 3PM? ON A MONDAY??? BANKERS HOURS TO SAY THE LEAST. A service advisor asked if she could move my car, in which I said sure and gave her the keys. I was there for only 5 minutes, she came back and said uh, I hit another car with your car. I thought she was kidding!!! Sure enough, she managed to hit a brand new car on their lot that was bright blue, with my white car. You can imagine what I was thinking after so many people warned me not to go here, and they crashed my car within 5 minutes of me being there. I said to the service advisor, I have been here 5 minutes, are you kidding me? This is ridiculous.

Not one person from the dealership approached me to speak to me about it so I called the police to file a report. The dealership kept insisting they fix the damage. Im sure they were not happy that I called the police, who requested their insurance information. (which I would have not received if it had not been for the police responding). Nobody ever approached me to offer it anyway.

I left and I had to call to speak to a "manager" and spoke to the owners son. Nobody called me and nobody said Im sorry except the owners son. The lady who damaged my car did apologize eventually and was very nice. Owners son was nice in the beginning. When they asked if they could fix my car I said sure no problem that will be fine. I asked if I paid full price for the air conditioning part if they could work with me on labor. He said sure he would check. I was very sick and had been off work for a week and thought I didn't need my car so might as well kill two birds with one stone, I wasn't going anywhere but staying home resting anyway.

When owners son called with the estimate and said we will fix body damage for you I said great. What was the price on the air conditioning part and labor? He quoted something like $700. I said were you going to work with me on labor after all you have put me through? He said we tightened some clamps on your transmission line and we saved you $300 so no we aren't giving you a break on labor. COME GET YOUR CAR and hung up on me.

So I went to pick up my car and asked to speak to the owner, who is just as rude as his son when he doesn't get his way. We had a not so polite exchange and I left the dealership.

After speaking with my insurance company and finding out this dealership is not an accredited business of the Revdex.com, I was wondering what they have to hide. USAA only recommends one business in town for repairs and body work and that is Halladay GMC. I asked USAA insurance adjuster why they don't refer customers to the Chevy dealership and she said, we just don't and I cannot say. Interesting. I also did more research and found that the co-owner had been killed last year, over money issues. HUGE RED FLAG!!!!!! Unprofessional, and will never go here again. I should have listened to all the folks who warned me about going here. I decided to give them a try and that listening to gossip wasn't fair as I had not seen any hard copy evidence that this dealership is this horrible. Now I have first hand experience. Halladay GMC will be getting my business from now on at the recommendation of my insurance company. I have receipts, police report and documentation to back this complaint up. I don't need any kind of resolution to my issue because I will not have anything to do with this dealership again. If you hear more than 5 people say a business is bad, listen to the warning and save yourself the trouble.

I am forwarding you an e-mail I received from Tyrrell-Doyle [redacted] two days prior to my car's Service Appointment.

This e-mail was in response to my question as to if ALL [redacted] PARTS were to be used. Also, wherein [redacted] (Service Writer) told me via telephone a " Valve Adjustment" would run about $120.00), this lady told me "$180.00." I trusted the word of the Service Writer.

You'll also see that I was advised a "$60.00 coupon" would be applied to my bill.  This was NOT done either.

Hi [redacted]!  Yes, we do use all [redacted] parts.  The price will be as close to your estimate as possible.  Until we work on the vehicle, we won't know 100%.  Also, [redacted] will do a valve adjustment which will be around $180.  [redacted] did say he has a coupon for you that will take off $60.
I hope this answers all your questions and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Please don't hesitate to email me should you have any other questions.
Have a great afternoon!
Sincerely,

Mr. [redacted], We have reviewed your concerns and contacted your insurance adjuster to discuss possible options.  Currently the repairs done to your vehicle were per the agreed upon estimate with your insurance and our body shop.  [redacted] will be contacting you to schedule an appointment with our...

service department regarding the radiator concern.  At that time, your insurance adjuster will inspect your vehicle to see if your stated concerns are related to the original claim.

Ms. [redacted], our guests are always able to test drive a vehicle of interest to make sure they like the vehicle as well as making sure it is the vehicle that will meet their needs. You had also previously stated that you had taken it to your mechanic and was told everything was fine. ...

Vehicles that are purchased "AS IS" are exactly that.  We are here to take care of our valued guests and we did do the repairs for you.

Ms. [redacted], Unfortunately, unforeseen repairs can be needed when purchasing a preowned vehicle that is purchased "As Is".  However, we are glad that everything worked out and your car is being taken care of.   We are here for our customers.  The vehicle is currently in our...

service department and the parts have been ordered and will be here today.  Once they arrive our service technician will perform the necessary repairs.  Once these repairs are completed, you will be contacted and your beautiful Cadillac will be back to you.

Mr. [redacted],  After review was completed of all documents and speaking with our [redacted] Service Department, we have made the determination that Mr. [redacted] was quoted a price and we will stand by that quoted price for you, our guest.  While in our dealership yesterday, you spoke with our Service Manager, [redacted].  Mr. [redacted] presented a check in the amount of $300.00 for which you accepted as resolution to the complaint. Additionally, your recall will be completed and the pulley will also be installed at no additional charge.
We thank you for this opportunity to rectify the situation.
If you have any questions or need additional clarification, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was told not to contact business due to me making contact with attorney and contacting chevrolete and filing a complaint against company. At that time was told to be happy with what they did fix and again was told bought as is.  Have since took vehicle to a mechanic and they found oil a quart over tires over inflated and PVC hose off engine. These are all things tyrell doyle had contact with while fixing the issues they say they fixed. I have had no contact with business advising on taking car to mechanic or issues they have found.  Still ac compressor going out and leaking and think it is their responsibility to fix.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Please be advised that I did meet with your service manager Mr. [redacted], on Monday, 8/18/2014. I had come to your dealership to pick up the pulley I paid for on July 31. Having never received a phone call from your dealership to let me know THAT part was in, it was my intention to pick it up myself. I WAS going to seek out someone else to install it. Mr. [redacted] was gracious and appoligized for the " OVERCHARGE." He acknowledged that I was even " CHARGED TWICE FOR THE SAME PART." He said "If you give us another chance, I'll have [redacted] install the pulley at no charge. I won't charge you labor." He offered me a check for $300.00, to settle this complaint. No doubt, all of this was discussed and approved by the "bosses."
As uncomfortable and untrusting as I was, I felt it best to just accept the check and allow YOUR dealership to install the "Air Conditioner Pulley." At MY request, the ignition switch was not repalced.
This encounter with YOUR dealership is something I have NEVER experienced. I did some homework and found out that a "VALVE ADJUSTMENT" on THAT vehicle is "PART OF THE TIMING BELT SERVICE." Of course, at this point, it no longer matters. It's done !
Mr.[redacted] was very kind and did his absolute best to represent your dealership in a professional manner. The pulley was installed. I DID accept your check. I still felt uncomfortable. But, hopefully, my 1999 [redacted] CRV will now continue to give me great service.
PLEASE BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. USE CAUTION WHEN QUOTING SERVICE COSTS VIA TELEPHONE. THINK ABOUT OFFERING "WRITTEN" ESTIMATES !
I will also advised The Wyoming Attorney Generals Office that THIS complaint has been resolved.

Ms. [redacted] - Although you purchased the Cadillac "AS-IS - No Warranty" and signed the document which explains this, we did take your Cadillac into our service department and repair the oil leak.  With any pre-owned vehicle, there can be unforeseen issues, especially in a 17-year-old vehicle.  However, we take care of our customers and went ahead and fixed the Cadillac at NO CHARGE to you.  Our sales manager would never treat our customers in an un-professional, rude manner.  In fact, it was he and your sales consultant who made sure your were being assisted in a timely and more than far manner.
As this is a beautiful, low-mileage, clean Cadillac, we are happy to return it to our inventory.
