First Assist Urgent Care

Review: I visited the Urgent Care in [redacted] on 5/29/15 with some specific health complaints. I called prior to ask questions about cost. I was given several different prices and eventually told that the cost for the service I needed was $28. Upon arrival for this service, I was directed to see their doctor for an assessment. I was not thoroughly examined, the diagnosis was incorrect, the prescribed medication was inappropriate and the final cost was $98.49 for this visit. My complaint is about the drastic change in price, the lack of service provided, the wrong diagnosis which resulted in my having to be out of work for more than a week and the incorrect prescription due to wrong diagnosis. I have contacted the billing department multiple times. They have not called back or responded to emails requesting a partial refund. I am now requesting a full refund on the basis that I can now prove a wrong diagnosis based upon another doctors assessment and the fact that I have lost money on incorrect prescriptions and from having to miss work because I was not treated.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the minimum amount of $98.49

Review: I went to facility with flu symptoms and was seen by Dr [redacted]. The doctor was in my room maybe 3 minutes and never tested me for the flu and told me that I had viral bronchitis and sent me home with no medicine or anything. I had to take my 3 children to their pediatrician and they all 3 had the flu. I left the pediatrician's office and went back by the urgent care and told them that all 3 kids tested positive for the flu and tried to get something to treat myself with, but they would not. I called the administrative office and filed a complaint with them. They had their "chief physician" look into the matter and called back and said that the appropriate action was taken, but said that the doctor did not know that they had any flu swabs. What kind of urgent care facility would not have flu swabs this time of year anyways? Long story short nothing was done to resolve this matter.Desired Settlement: When the administrative office called back I asked the lady how much my bill was going to be for this visit since nothing was done. She said that we would just have to wait and see. I feel that inappropriate treatment or action was rendered and don't feel that I should have to pay for something that I did not get, but most important that this does not happen to anyone else in the future.

Mrs. [redacted] was seen by one of our providers who evaluated her and treated heraccording to how she presented at the time of evaluation. The patient was charged for astandard office visit due to the physician providing a physical assessment of the patient aswell as time spent educating the patient about her illness. It was explained to thepatient's husband that it would not be known what cost would be billed to them until afterthe claim was sent to the insurance company.We are happy to assist Mrs. [redacted] in any way that we can and would welcome theopportunity to speak with her should she have any further concerns or questions.Thank you,First Assist Urgent Care-[redacted]
