My fiance and I had Matt T*** complete our taxes in March for We had and appointment, went in he did everything while we were thereWe thought he did such a great job we agreed to have him do my fiance's back taxes for 2012, 2013, and He made an appointment for 4/4/at When he got there Matt looked it over and agreed he will definitely be getting money backHe assured him he will complete them by April We tried to contact him on the 18th and no answerWe tried to contact him every day after that letting him know if he didn't want to complete them it was fine and we will have someone else do itI finally gotten ahold of the lady he has working for him and that was only by luckI called her home and he husband picked up when he put her on the phone I explained to her the situation and she had the nerve to get an attitude with me saying tax season is over she only works for him thenMonths go by still no simple returned phone call from himIt is 7/28/I sent him a message after calling and let him know I will be contacting the police if I do not hear back from him tomorrow so we can have our personal property returned

A horrible experience at bestI handed my tax return information to the secretary of this business in mid March I was told my taxes would be complete by April In the first week of May, I tried to contact the owner of this business, MatthewI called everyday leaving messages but received no replyI finally contacted him by Messenger to which he did reply that he was vacation and would call me the following week I waited to hear from him until that Thursday, when I called and left another messageHe did not reply I called twice on Friday and again received no reply I used messenger again to contact him and again no responseToday Monday 5/23/16, I traveled to his business/home and knocked on the door where his son met me I asked to speak with his fatherHe said his father was sleepingI asked him to wake Matthew but he said "I think he is sick" I said that I wanted my tax papers, that's all I neededThe son said he would get themHe came back with the papers in a blue folder, in the same one I handed them over to secretaryI asked how he knew the papers were mine as I hadn't told him my name He replied that his dad told him, so obviously Matthew knew I was thereAfter looking through the folder, I didn't see any IRS formsI told the son that I needed the IRS formsI needed to know what my refund is and when to expect it He went back to check and upon his return, he said he couldn't find them By now I was seeing REDI told him that I wanted Matthew to come to the door and give me my paperworkMatthew finally came to the door and responded with "What?"I said, "I need the IRS paperwork...the copies of what you sent in."He said, "I don't have them."I said, "What? Where are they?"He replied, "I didn't do themI didn't have time." He said this like it was no big dealHe obviously didn't have a concern about how this was affecting me and my financesI was by now ready to explode! So, bottom line:
He agreed to do my taxesHe had them weeks before the due day, (weeks total) and I was assured they would be complete by Tax Day., he never returned my callsIf he didn't have time to do them, why didn't he just call me and tell me soI could have had someone else do themI could have had my refund by nowHe NEVER filed an extension for me, so now I'm in hot water with the IRS He treated me with total disregard and total disrespect

These reviews are absolutely terrible but also absolutely true. I do not doubt them for one second and the reason being is because not only is he extremely shady as a tax preparer but he is also a thief. He stole our state income tax. Run run run far away from the Shady individual. By the way I am reporting him and I will be seeking counsel as to what to do about him.
