First Chicago Remodeling did a complete gut rehab of our bathroom including complete tiling of shower, floors, wallsInstalled vanity, rewired electric, reworked plumbing and installed new plumbing and piping to basement and upstairs bathroom Installed new drywall, durock, new lighting, exhaust fan, exhaust vent, new window and primed and re-painted bathroom Also performed some miscellaneous handyman services around the house
Marian and his team are very hardworking and diligent The extra value that you get from Marian more so than from any other contractor are three things First, he is honest and trustworthy I have used Marian for several projects over the past years and he has always been reasonable in cost and reliable in performance Second, he very practical on giving you what you want and you will get it in the most efficient manner (generally saving you money when you want or need to upgrade things) Third, when there are challenges such as when walls are opened up and the electric, plumbing or structure is not how it is supposed to be, he is very creative and will fix the problems for a reasonable upgrade cost I remember being concerned that the overall project cost seemed expensive However, when I saw the actual work done each day over a few weeks, I really felt we got our money's worth Marian's workers do good work and do a decent job of trying to be neat and clean up after each day though there is no escaping some dust you'll have to clean up on weekends
My wife and I have been very happy with Marian's work over the past years His services are in demand so you may have to wait a bit before he can start your project However, he is worth the wait and it gives you time to make sure you have all the supplies and parts ordered correctly in advance

We looked long and hard to see who would be the best fit for our bathroom project. We read many reviews and had about 5 actual estimates. After Marian came out to our place (first time for the initial quote, second time to tighten things up), we were certain we made the right decision. He was fair, honest, open minded, respectful of our home and committed to get the project done on time. We've worked with other contractors in the past who did not stand by their timeline and who left our home a mess, but this was never the case here.

Once the project began, we had progress each and every work day. As the project progressed, we had minor tweaks along the way, however with Marian's open mind and customer focused mind set, he was always willing to hear our thoughts and either run with them or suggest better/alternate solutions. In the end, we have a beautiful new master bathroom that was torn down to the studs.

We are extremely happy with Marian's work quality and workability. His team was very kind, skilled and trustworthy. After the first day, we decided it was even ok to leave the keys with them and head off to work. Very happy with our decision - highly recommended!

When I start this project floor drain was already fill in with water, she have leaking fundation all over place ,so drain...

already did not work ,she told me that this drain always work like this , At the time when I'm finished her cement base there was A lot more water on floor ,that's normal when you use water for cement work so all over the drain was also more water which did not drain at all from beginning. I try to clean this drain but it looks like this drain was never clean at all , I ask customer when last time some one clean this drain ,she says -not remember, next day she call me ,to came over ,whit I did , there was still water not a lot ,same amounts when I start project ,but she told me that I plug her drain and need to clean her drain for free, I have says that when I finished project did not use hose to clean floor from debris, she sow like I clean hole floor with sponge and bucket, try to explained that this is not my fauld that this drain was like this before I came here ,that staff inside is not lose is solid rock because is sitting there for years, if she call plumber will tell her same think, she says that I need to pay now for plumber, whit I not agreed. Finally I call her later and offer her that I will help her to clean this drain , not ask any money for my time ,just if she will pay for rental tool to clean drain , she refused,
I'm the person with try to help people's, but it looks like some people's like take advantage of you and got fix home for free

Over the past 10 years, Marian and First Chicago Remodeling have gut/rehabbed our kitchen and 3 separate bathrooms. The work is always great, the cost is always fair, and things are completed on the promised schedule. Even a few years after our last project was complete, Marian was generous enough to find time to troubleshoot and repair an electrical problem. Before calling Marian, I had a "handyman" investigate the problem. He spent about 90 minutes reviewing the situation and provided a proposal a $1,200 to fix the problem (this visit cost me $235). In nearly the same amount of time and cost that I spent with the handyman, Marian diagnosed and fixed the problem. If you are considering a renovation and First Chicago can do it, there is no reason to call anyone else.

We have used Marion and Fist Chicago on two houses and highly recommend them. Attention to detail, quality, and the timely manner we excellent on both houses. We had complete Master Suite remods as well as all new hardwood floors installed. We found they were a one stop contractor complete with G.C., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Painting capabilities. We have two more projects lined up for spring 2016. We highly recommend them. Monica and Marty
