I came down with a sore throat, and stuffed up nose and some chest discomfort and decided to call an urgent care facility to see if they could take me in before closing. I went to this location on mistake March 21 2020 it’s right down the street from the urgent care facility which is also ***.
I walked in the front door and asked if I was in the right place, the receptionist said I was. I was hooked up to EKG machines and had my lungs listened too and all this unnecessary stuff for a simple sinus infection. The doctor prescribed me amoxicillin. The receptionist said we are separate from billing but I can take a $250 deposit and the rest will be billed. I said what happened to the $125.00 I was quoted on the phone, she said we are not urgent care but can’t turn away sick individuals when they walk in the door. I told her I was looking for *** urgent care when I walked in, it’s not like I had an emergency or was going to not be seen, I just wasn’t looking for their specific location. I’m currently speaking with attorneys because of this facilities lies and deception. When I left the facility I seen the Urgent-care over the hill within 1/4 mile.

We address all complaints directly with patients, and we make every effort to reach reasonable resolutions when we receive a complaint or concern from a patient. A patient representative will address this complaint directly with the patient.
BEWARE!!!*** UC health is notorious for abusive billing practices! Read the reviews! My 23/yo daughter went to the UC urgent care on Powers in Colorado Springs (NOT the hospital) for a persistent cough. She saw Dr. Karl *** for a few minutes and had a 2-view Xray. Bill: $6,056.48! (our portion after insurance: ($3,750) UNBELIEVABLE! After my complaints, a review was done they kindly dropped it down to $875 for the facility charge, $683 for the physician , and over $400 for the x-rays. This is for a persistent cough (we wanted to make sure she did not have pneumonia-which she did not). SHAME ON YOU UC HEALTH, AND DR. *** ! This is abusive billing at its worst, and in my opinion is fraudulent. If you have had a similar experience, like MANY reviewers, PLEASE report this to your local TV and news organizations, and write reviews. This abuse MUST be stopped!
