First Choice Mortgage Services has been in business since 1997 almost 18 years and have never had a complaint filed against us. The consumer stated that she was never contacted via E mail for 2 charges on her credit card,...

I can only take her word  that it is true. These charges were for an appraisal of the subject property and a finial inspection of work that needed to be completed before the bank would allow the loan to close. These charges must be paid and were disclosed to her on the good faith estimate. These charges are part of applying for a mortgage and the broker is under no obligation to pay any of these charges at anytime.
 
The $150.00 fee was for the re inspection of repairs to handrails. This is a fee between the buyer of the property and the appraiser. At no time in a transaction is a broker allowed to take money for this service. All charges are received by the Appraisal Management Company.
 
We have and always will work with any customer we have to make the transaction as easy as possible. Sometimes a customer can mistake a companies good intention when they think they can talk to anyone with less than professional words and facts.

I think 18 Years in business speaks for itself. We never received any payment for inspection costs they were transacted between appraisal management company and the client. All charges and costs are documented on the HUD1 provided by the attorney. Perhaps a conversation with your attorney would help educate you on the process.
 
I stand 100% behind First Choice Mortgage and staff on this mortgage.
 
When people speak about themselves its not there own opinion that counts its the opinion of the people who have met you that's does.

Review: I worked with FCM to get my recent mortgage on my home. The customer service was terrible - no one had any patience, especially for first time home buys. The mortgage broker that we worked with, [redacted], set us up with with [redacted], as our mortgage company. I was told that I would be contacted via email for an authorization prior to any transactions or debits of funds prior to our inspection. On two separate occasions, the company took money from my account without my permission. After the second time, I reached out to [redacted] regarding the issue and he stated that he would have a check for $150 as a reimbursement for the hassle and the cost of that fee. This was supposed to be at closing and I have multiple emails where this check was promised to me. When I emailed [redacted] to follow up with the check, his lack of patience and customer service skills kicked in and he put a stop payment on the check. I should not have been charged without my permission the first place, but I have written documentation where that money is owed to me. The customer service of that business, to include his mortgage processor [redacted], is quite terrible, but to cheat someone out of $150 to pocket it for themselves is beyond words. I just want what I am owed for MY inconvenience in having to deal with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like the original refund owed of $150.
