First Choice Septic Service Reviews (3)

I am writing at the request of a company that I do occasional business/referral service with that goes by the name of First Choice Septic About a month or two ago, I started to receive calls from an irate man named Curtis who claimed a pipe was broken in his yard He claimed I must have done it while on site, and wanted me to fix it immediately because he has had to turn off his system because of the break The only problem here was that I had never been to his house I explained this to him, and he didn't seem satisfied I asked him to produce a bill and the conversation basically stopped Previously, I had spoken to his wife(***) on many occasions in reference to his alternative septic system She called me to find out if they needed one, and I explained after discovering what system they had that they did in fact need one by law annually I explained this to her, and through her the message from him was in his words "I do something about when they come for me, not sooner I know what I bought, and it doesn't need maintenance or inspections"He thought it was insane that he should be paying of an annual inspection or maintenance of any kind I explained that was fine, but they were breaking the law, but it was not my business to report them.Next in the saga, he called First Choice, who had referred me in the first place He called and told them that Cody from the inspection place broke his pipe They told him they knew of no Cody, and my name was Matt This did not satisfy him It was then reexplained that I had not been there, because he had refused the service So at this point he started to blame first choice septic, who had recently pumped his tank They contacted me and I made another call to him.I told him that I would in fact fix his pipe for free, if he hired me for his annual inspection, but that I couldn't fix it for first choice nor him for free for any other reason Because I identified him as a potential problem I started to record our sessions, but I unfortunately only have one recording left after a water incident I have him saying something to the effect, I told those guys to make there quote higher so that the inspection would be covered in the repair bills I'm turning in Confused I asked what he meant, and he described a claim on his house that was caused by tree falling and he was trying to get everything in one claim so he didn't have to pay for it himself It was at this point I decided I did not want him as a customer for any reason Then, it escalated further What Curtis didn't know is that I do the social media for both companies, and I was hearing first hand at points, his different stories He started leaving negative reviews with blatant lies and story changes, and then started listing our competitors information on our website, [redacted] , and [redacted] page It was at this point, where I blocked him, not after the negative comments I responded to his complaints with fact and tact, but he seemed unwilling to let this go I firmly believe this is a man out to get what he can out of any organization The bottom line is this:It is extremely unlikely that the broken pipe in question could have broken by pump hoses(nearly impossible) The amount of force and torque required to beak the pipe that far down requires a sustained and forceful blow which is more likely from a riding lawn mower or four wheeler, something that once came up in conversation The hoses he uses are laid out to feet at a time, and never is a fully connected hose pulled for any distance It would have been noticed if it had been hung up on a pipe I have personally seen Rick on many occasions turn away work once on site due to the lack of need of the service, especially in regards to the elderly and young families His ethics are some of the highest in the industry, and that is why I choose to associate with him I have personally helped Rick fix many "damages", even those not completely his fault such as weak driveways without complaint, even when he loses money on the whole job.If you have any further questions, please call me direct###-###-####

I am writing at the request of a company that I do occasional business/referral service with that goes by the name of First Choice Septic.  About a month or two ago, I started to receive calls from an irate man named Curtis who claimed a pipe was broken in his yard.  He claimed I must have...

done it while on site, and wanted me to fix it immediately because he has had to turn off his system because of the break.  The only problem here was that I had never been to his house.  I explained this to him, and he didn't seem satisfied.  I asked him to produce a bill and the conversation basically stopped.  Previously, I had spoken to his wife([redacted]) on many occasions in reference to his alternative septic system.  She called me to find out if they needed one, and I explained after discovering what system they had that they did in fact need one by law annually.  I explained this to her, and through her the message from him was in his words "I do something about when they come for me, not sooner.  I know what I bought, and it doesn't need maintenance or inspections". He thought it was insane that he should be paying of an annual inspection or maintenance of any kind.  I explained that was fine, but they were breaking the law, but it was not my business to report them.Next in the saga, he called First Choice, who had referred me in the first place.  He called and told them that Cody from the inspection place broke his pipe.  They told him they knew of no Cody, and my name was Matt.  This did not satisfy him.  It was then reexplained that I had not been there, because he had refused the service.  So at this point he started to blame first choice septic, who had recently pumped his tank.  They contacted me and I made another call to him.I told him that I would in fact fix his pipe for free, if he hired me for his annual inspection, but that I couldn't fix it for first choice nor him for free for any other reason.  Because I identified him as a potential problem I started to record our sessions, but I unfortunately only have one recording left after a water incident.  I have him saying something to the effect, I told those guys to make there quote higher so that the inspection would be covered in the repair bills I'm turning in.  Confused I asked what he meant, and he described a claim on his house that was caused by tree falling and he was trying to get everything in one claim so he didn't have to pay for it himself.  It was at this point I decided I did not want him as a customer for any reason.  Then, it escalated further.  What Curtis didn't know is that I do the social media for both companies, and I was hearing first hand at points, his different stories.  He started leaving negative reviews with blatant lies and story changes, and then started listing our competitors information on our website, [redacted], and [redacted] page.  It was at this point, where I blocked him, not after the negative comments.  I responded to his complaints with fact and tact, but he seemed unwilling to let this go.  I firmly believe this is a man out to get what he can out of any organization.  The bottom line is this:1. It is extremely unlikely that the broken pipe in question could have broken by pump hoses(nearly impossible).  The amount of force and torque required to beak the pipe that far down requires a sustained and forceful blow which is more likely from a riding lawn mower or four wheeler, something that once came up in conversation.  The hoses he uses are laid out 10 to 20 feet at a time, and never is a fully connected hose pulled for any distance.  It would have been noticed if it had been hung up on a pipe.2.  I have personally seen Rick on many occasions turn away work once on site due to the lack of need of the service, especially in regards to the elderly and young families.  His ethics are some of the highest in the industry, and that is why I choose to associate with him.3.  I have personally helped Rick fix many "damages", even those not completely his fault such as weak driveways without complaint, even when he loses money on the whole job.If you have any further questions, please call me direct. ###-###-####
