I hired VIP Transportation for my sister’s bachelorette party and was surprised by the affordable rates and quick availability, as this was a last minute booking. Everything was smooth with the reservation and booking (with [redacted]) that week leading up to the party, which was on a Saturday afternoon.
That Saturday, the morning of the party, [redacted] calls me and tells me that the party bus (the Krystal Party Bus) that I had reserved was having air conditioning problems. He proceeded to tell me that the bus had been in the shop all day on Friday with no progress. To fix the problem, he said he was going to “upgrade” me to their triple axel Hummer limousine; not sure how a limo is an upgrade from a party bus?
Anyway, since I had no other choice at that point because it was the day of the party, I accepted the “upgrade”. The pick-up time was scheduled for 2:30 pm and we were going to be dropped off at 3:30 pm for a dance class. By 2:40 our driver, [redacted], and the limo had still not arrived. After several phone conversations with [redacted] about directions because he was lost, he finally arrived at 2:55pm, a half-hour late.
At this point I was already more than irritated with this company, but still needed them for transportation for the 10 girls that were at the party. When we got into the limo, I immediately noticed the lack of care and how hot it was. The air conditioning had not been turned on and there was TRASH left all over the limo (I took pictures to prove it to them). Needless to say I was extremely appalled at their presentation of a limo and was embarrassed that I had booked such a disgusting car.
After having to give the driver directions, again, we were ready to take off (3:05pm). When [redacted] tried to put the limo in drive, it would not move. Then it got stuck in reverse and we were rolling backwards down a hill. After 3 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to move the limo I finally told him we were getting out and taking our own cars.
Ten minutes later I called VIP Transportation and spoke with [redacted] again and informed him of the unacceptable service that we had received. He apologized and said my money would be refunded 100% that day (Saturday). When I asked him about compensation for our personal gas money and the class we missed due to their limo service he said I would have to call back on Monday to speak with [redacted], the manager.
• Monday: I called for [redacted] around 3pm and he had already left for the day.
• Tuesday: I called again around 10:15am and spoke with [redacted] about the situation. His response was that he needed to confirm my “story” with the driver and [redacted] and would get back to me by 10am the next day.
• Wednesday: [redacted] did not call me by 10am so I called back at 10:15am and was told that [redacted] was on his lunch break and would call me when he got back, however, I never received a call and at this point my money had not been refunded to my credit card yet.
• Thursday: I called [redacted], AGAIN, around 1:30pm. He proceeded to tell me that he had called me on Wednesday and left me a voicemail, yet I had no missed calls or voicemails on my phone. When I asked him again about refunding our gas money and missed class he said he had still not talked to the driver. I told him that he needed to give me an answer and that I did not need the run-around. The conversation became very heated, very quickly. That is when I asked him to put me through to someone higher than him and he told me there wasn’t anyone higher than him. I asked him if he was the owner and he said, “For arguments sake, sure, I am the owner”. When I then told him that I had heard from [redacted] that they are a corporate company and that I wanted corporate’s number, he replied with “all I will give you is their e-mail”. I told him that I wanted their number so I can speak with them and he kept telling me that I was only going to be given their e-mail. Then I asked him what phone number was on the side of their limo (some 1-800 number), because that was not the number we were talking on, and he responded with, “I’m done with this conversation” and hung up on me.
Overall, you can see how unprofessional this company is and their behavior. Instead of making the situation right or calmly explaining the refund policy, [redacted], the so-called “manager” got agitated quickly and completely shut me out. What a horrible display of customer service. Although the full amount was refunded eventually (by Friday), I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!!

Review: On Tue 9/10/13 @ 8pm I called [redacted] @ Vip transportation to reserve a 10-person White Limo for my Wedding in OCT 20, 2013. The first sentence I spoke was "I would like to reserve a white 10 -person limousine for 3 hours on Oct 20, preferably this Lincoln stretch that you are advertising on your Facebook." He quoted me $70/hr & said I will need to pay a $50 deposit, so I provided a credit card. He told me I'll receive a confirmation email shortly. I waited until the next day, and called him in the late afternoon, because I was concerned I haven't yet received my confirmation. I made some changes to the TIME of pickup. I received my confirmation email shortly after, with breakdown of costs. Instead of charging $50 for deposit- I was charged $100. I did not authorize $100. This should have been my first sign to RUN. On 9/17/13 I called [redacted] to change the pickup time, again, because my wedding plans have shifted. At this time, he mentioned that there is a 4 hour minimum. This was never mentioned previously, especially because my receipt clearly stated 70x 3 hours with a $126.80 remaining balance, as my FULL total was 226.80. Also, their website CLEARLY states Sunday-Thursday has 3 hour minimum. (http://www.myviptransportation.com/rates/) The reservation was for a SUNDAY. On top of that, [redacted] tried to say that my 70/hr 3-hour reservation was for a Town Car- that seats 4 people!I NEVER ONCE MENTIONED A TOWN CAR. My confirmation even states "Number of passengers: 10" -I needed a car for 10-PEOPLE MINIMUM. This guy lied& claimed I kept changing what I wanted from Town Car-to a Hummer limo - to the Lincoln limo- which is what I ORIGINALLY requested, the 1st day. I wasn't changing the car, I only changed the PICKUP time. [redacted] said he'll honor the 70/hr quote he gave me, but only if I do the 4-hr minimum. I didn't want the service, &he refused to give a refund of $100 deposit that was never even authorized. I have all emails & bank charges if needed.Desired Settlement: Provide a refund of my deposit. Provide a CLEAR per-hour list for each individual vehicle & corresponding minimum hours required for rental on your website. Provide a physical address for this business on your website.

Review: I have ordered a Limo for my wedding day and I paid a deposit of $100 with my credit card. on my wedding day I paid the balance of $550.00 in cash to the Limo driver. after one week or so I realized that this company charged my credit card another $550.00 that was already paid in cash.Desired Settlement: I like to get back my $550.00 that they charged twice.
