SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!! These guys who's names are Toby & Dave, tried to sell me a used or possibly broken Galaxy Note 4. They "claimed" that it was a brand new device, but the box was opened, finger prints all over the device, no accessories in the box, and to top it off, there was no battery for the device!!! Luckily I did my research on that business & I had an idea of what to expect. But this was terrible. I called them on their [redacted] & they couldnt even say anything. DO NOT. I REPEAT..DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. DONT EVEN BUY ANYTHING FROM THEIR STORE. THEY'RE SUPER SHADY & CON-ARTISTS!!!!!

Review: I purchased a blackberry from First Class Wireless on 7/** for a trip I was taking the next day to Charlotte, Atlanta, and Cleveland. The same day that I purchased the phone I noticed the control panel across the bottom was loose. Since I was leaving for Charlotte the next day, I could not return the phone. I have had a very hectic schedule for the last two weeks, hoping that my new cell phone would be usable; however, it was a nightmare. The panel fell off everywhere I went. I found myself looking for it in restaurants, hotels, etc. as you cannot use the phone without the control panel across the bottom. I didn't want to put anything in the inside of the phone so I just taped it at one point. As I continued to travel throughout the country, the phone was a nuissance. Always picking up the control panel everywhere I went. Yesterday, August *, I returned the phone to the store, only to be told that they would not take the phone back because there were scratches on it. I was told that I "dropped the phone." I was told anything just to say they would not stand behind what they sell. I experienced so many inconveniences because I was depending on the phone. I have a loss of over $238.00, plus all the time it takes to prepare complaints, etc. I was very offended that I went through all this and I was blamed for what was a mechanical defect in the phone in the first place. The phone is not able to be used. I would like to have a refund, or I would accept another phone. [redacted] didn't even care when I said that I would write a complaint. This shows so little lack of customer appreciation. Little did he know, that I buy electronics all the time since I am in publishing. Why do people think they can just treat customers like dirt? They don't even realize that a good refund policy returns people to you time and time again. That way, people can feel comfortable spending large amounts of money because they know if the merchandise is faulty, they can bring it back.Desired Settlement: I will take a refund or a replace phone of the same magnitude.

Review: I went to the Apple Store earlier today to get my iPhone 4 serviced only to find out from Apple's representative that its not an iPhone and they can't help me because it not an iPhone. I called FIRSTCLASS WIRELESS several times today to make a complaint and no one picked up the phone, all I got was a prerecorded message and there was no options left to leave a message otherwise I would. So, I called several more times and still no answer. I feel violated and used and taken for a fool. I brought two iPhones from FIRSTCLASS WIRELESS on 10/**/2013 and I find out today the phones are fake. I'm so upset!!!!I want a full refund.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $577.04

Sincerely,

Review: Hi,

I am [redacted].

This mail is in reference to transaction/purchase made on [redacted] August 12:15 pm in a shop called as First Class Wireless located at [redacted]. For the purchase of a product Samsung Galaxy S3 (unlocked). The Transaction number on bill receipt is [redacted]. The transaction was made using Bank of America Credit Card.

I want to Dispute this transaction and make sure that the amount is not credited to the seller or if it is already credited to the sellers account, I want it to reflect back in mine

I want to highlight the malpractices followed in this shop and wanted to raise Dispute this transaction as it was a fraud transaction and I was tricked and pressurized into signing the receipt by giving wrong information.

I was charged for things that I had not asked for. The receipt that was provided to me once the transaction was made did not reflect the things that I had agreed to purchase from them. I was supposed to be charged 350$ (Including unlocking of the phone + Registration + taxes) that I confirmed with the dealer before the card being swiped but the Shopkeeper charged for 538$ and said that He has already charged it and it cannot be reverted. He had charged the fees for Samsung registration for 84.49$ (which is supposed to be free) and 59.99 $ unlocking fees (The phone was supposed to be unlocked before itself). I tried to return the product before signing the receipt but he did not accept it saying the sale was made. If I do not sign it, I will lose my total 538$ + The Product (Samsung Galaxy S3). He refused to take the product back saying the sale was made and he will not be refunding any money now, at the most he will exchange it after deducting 35% restocking fee on the entire bill also he will not be giving any money back on Samsung registration and unlocking as those are the Samsung charges and not his charges.

These kinds of malpractices are definitely not expected in USA and if they happen, I hope proper steps are followed to correct this.

Here are the complete details about how things progressed.

I went to the store for purchase of unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 that I can use it with any carrier. I asked him for the final price of the unlocked phone. He said that the final price including everything that included unlocking, registration and taxes + Free screen cover + Free screen guard will be 350$. I was okay with that. He asked me if I will be paying by cash or card, I gave him the card and confirmed with him before giving the card for the amount he will be swiping it in for. He said 350$. Once he confirmed that I gave him the card at 12:15 pm Aug **. 2013. He swiped it for 538$. He gave me a receipt that said

1) Phone 350$

2) Samsung Registration – 84.49$

3) Unlocking – 59.99$

NYC tax 8.875%

Total – 538.37$

I argued it was supposed to be charged for 350. He said that he has registered the product in my name with Samsung for 84.49$ and unlocking as 59.99$. I argued that 350$ was including everything and that he had agreed to it and I had confirmed that before giving the card then how can he swipe it for 538$. To which he said that the card has already been swiped and nothing can be done. If I do not sign it I will lose the product + the money and he does not have a return policy so he will not be refunding me any amount but at the most he can exchange the product after deducting 35% restocking fee or issue an equivalent store credit (after deduction). He gave me a kind of bill that said phone price as 350$, Registration 84.49$ and Unlocking 59.99 $ + NYC tax so total came to 538.37$. He also quoted that I will be getting an email from Samsung as the product is registered in my name. He also said that I will be getting earphones and couple of accessories from Samsung itself delivered at my home. HE said that he will give freebies to me like a phone cover that costs 10$ and a screen guard 7$ and a store credit 60$. I was not ready to accept those at all. But he said that those are free from his side. And he asked me to collect from him the next day as he was running out of stock for screen guards.

Feeling totally disappointed I left the store. I thought that it is something fishy so I checked my mails. I did not get any email from Samsung. So I decided to contact Samsung and check the authenticity of the dealer’s claims. They said that the Product is not registered yet. I checked with them if they charge anything for registration. They said they do not charge anything for that. I was shocked that how can the dealer charge for registration at Samsung when it is free and unlocking when the phone was actually supposed to be unlocked. (I have the transcript of those chats)

I went to the shopkeeper in the evening the same day (5:15 pm, Aug *, 2013) arguing the same point to which he said that there is nothing he can do about it as I have already signed the receipt. He asked me for the receipt. I showed that to him he took it from me and said that what he had given previously was a quote and not a receipt. I asked it back, but he said he will give it but later on denied to give it back saying that was just a quote. I said even if it is a quote I need it. To which he refused to give it back. He said that he forgot to give me the original receipt. He went to the counter and gave me another receipt. He said that he forgot to give me this receipt at 12:15 pm and hence he is giving it to me now at 5:15 pm (You can check the video footage as well to confirm this). In this receipt the breakdown was totally different. It Was

1) Samsung Galaxy S3 = 300$

2) Unlocking fee = 59.99$

3) Case = 49.99$

4) Screen Guard = 24.50$

5) Store Credit = 60$

6) Total 494.48

7) Tax @8.875 – 43.89

8) Total 538.37

Trans # [redacted]

In this he included the free items like the screen guard (that I never received as it was out of stock and which he had asked me to collect later), The Case (that was given free), The Unlocking fee (I checked with Samsung and the phone was still locked with AT&T) and a store credit of 60$ (Which he said that I can use any time). I asked him why on earth will I buy a store credit for 60$, a Case for 49.99$ when I can get it for ** $ outside and a Screen guard for 24.5$ when I can get it easily for 8$ anywhere in NYC. To which he had no answer.

I was I did not ask anything of those, I only wanted my unlocked phone for 350$ and all these were supposed to be free. How can he charge me for free items? I told him, I do not need any of those things, I just need a phone. To which he gave the same reply. He said that he will take it back on the condition that he will only exchange it with a 35% restocking fee on the entire amount.

I checked with Samsung what they provide in box; they said they also provide earphones. Even that was not included in the Box. I was very disappointed by this entire episode.

I have not started using the phone yet, thinking that he will say that I have spoilt it by using it and not accept the return.

So right now I am following all the steps for nullifying this transaction. I contacted the seller thrice in person. I had called 911 to the spot on Saturday afternoon to report this fraudulent activity and they suggested contacting the bank and disputing the transaction and then filing a complaint in Consumer Dept.

Steps taken to resolve this issue

Please find below the list of ways I tried to resolve this issue.

Steps taken to resolve the issue and to return the item

[redacted] August 12:30 PM

Tried to return the product (in person) before signing the receipt as the cost told to me and agreed upon was different from the amount that was swiped from the card. The vendor did not accept it saying the credit card is charged and he will take 35% restocking fee and he will not give back the amount the amount paid to Samsung. He claimed that he had registered the product with Samsung in my name. And they had charged me registration (84.5$) and unlocking 59.9$. No such registration exists. Please find the transcript from the Samsung agent with this fax.

He gave me a kind of bill that said phone price as 350$, Registration 84.49$ and Unlocking 59.99 $ + NYC tax so total came to 538.37. Please note that I had not asked for Samsung registration or unlocking.

Later in the evening took this receipt from me stating that it was an invalid receipt. Hence Right now I do not have this. But I am certain that the receipt number will be anywhere in between [redacted] to [redacted] as it was printed at 12:15 pm. If we have means to check this .we can verify from their records.

[redacted] august: 5:30 PM

Tried to return the product (in person) Seller took away the previous receipt that was given to me earlier and gave a new receipt with a detailed breakdown of charges, which he said he forgot to give last time in the afternoon. In that receipt he has charged for the things I had not asked for. He had charged for the freebies he had promised. Case = 49.99$, Screen Guard = 24.50$, Store Credit = 60$. Transaction number for this receipt is [redacted]. Please note that these were freebies. And he has not given the screen guard and he refused to entertain the store credits as well. The phone case provided is substandard and even if we say that it was not a freebie, it cannot be charged more than 8$

[redacted] August: 3 pm

Again went to the store and tried to return (In Person). Seller entered into an argument and said whatever he had said or communicated during sale does not count when the sale was made.

** August: 3:30pm

Called 911 they said I should contact the bank and consumer department as this case doesn’t fall into their purview

[redacted] August

Contacted New York Department of Consumer affairs Transaction number [redacted]

[redacted] August

Contacted Department of State Division of Consumer Protection [redacted] August

NYC 311. Service Request number is [redacted] To strengthen my case I can provide information of two people who had seen this entire episode. Also you can verify the Video footage from the shop. And I am sure this is not the first time they are doing it as this as happened in the past as evident from the reviews posted in the site below. In fact he was trying to do the same thing in front of me to couple of tourist as well. And I am sure he will repeat it again [redacted]

Again I will try to reiterate the issue in brief

My card was supposed to be swiped for 350 and instead it was swiped for 538 and I was pressurized to sign it by giving wrong information. And in the bill he has charged for the freebies he had promised. Please note that they were freebies and they were not supposed to be charged on my credit card. Also I will like to add that I have not received those freebies yet. The seller has refused to provide the screen guard and the store credit.

So to summarize I have been false overcharged. Promised services have not been provided, Freebies are charged in the bill and freebies are not received.

I have already emailed the chat transaction from Samsung that the registration was not made on my name as stated by the seller. And also I have posted reviews about the shop from other users. I do have the sound clipping that tells us how the seller is cheating the customer where he is trying to fool someone in the same way he did. I have 2 witnesses who can testify for the entire episode. I can give their contacts if required.

I hope this case will be taken properly and justice be served. It’s not only the matter of money, but the matter of feeling cheated. With this kind of feeling I will never be able to trust anyone. And I will think 1000 times before making any transactions. This is definitely spoiling the image of US. I have been living here for the last 7 months. And you can check my bank transaction and authenticity as well. I hope proper justice will be delivered

Thanks & Regards

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Review: Purchased cash on 09/**/2014 an iPhone 4S Serial # [redacted] from named business, which was sold to me as a new phone for $379.33 + sales tax $33.67 = $413.00. I was told by the sales person that the phone is new and has a one year manufacturer warranty. However, one week after purchase the phone malfunction and appears faulty, under the impression the phone I purchased was new and have a one year manufacturer warranty I took the phone to [redacted] Roosevelt Field.

At the Apple store I was informed that the IPHONE 4S Serial # [redacted] was a used phone that was first purchased on 10/**/2011 and was out of warranty, I was also inform that the device display was replaced and about unauthorized modification policy.

Review: On **/2/2015, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Mega phone at FIRSTCLASS WIRELESS store having deposited a total sum of Two Hundred USD ($200) using my [redacted] ATM Debit card. Two weeks later(**/2/2015), I went to pay the total balance of Two Hundred and Seventy USD ($270) in cash to pick up the phone. On getting home, I discovered the phone was a BOOTLEG (fake). The following morning (**/2/2015), I returned the phone to the store for an exchange having brought to their notice that I noticed the phone was fake. I was told they are out of stock for Samsung Galaxy Mega and that I should wait for them to make orders for another set. I asked when to call back to confirm when it will be available and was told to call the store number (###-###-####). The following week, I called the store number as I was told but could not get through. I went to the store, met the sales rep and told him I have been calling the phone number I was giving to confirm if my phone is available but no response. He then told me the phone was not charged and asked me to call back the following week since the [redacted] ([redacted]) is not around (due to Jewish holiday). I was told the same thing again the following week. On 11/*/2015, I went to the store and met with the [redacted]. he told me they could not get the order for the Samsung Galaxy Mega phones and that I should take a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime for exchange and a receipt stating the price ($247:99) for the phone was giving to me. I got home and made inquiry about the phone again to know if its not fake and the price only to discover it was cheaper than the initial phone I had wanted to purchase and lesser price. I went back the following day (**/3/2015) to tell the [redacted] the phone he gave to me is not up to the amount I paid initially and that I will need a better phone worth the initial money I paid ($470). He told me to take a Samsung S4 and I said no and that I want a Samsung S5. He told me I will have to add more money to get the Samsung {S 5}. I told him I cant afford it.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money back since I could not get the phone I paid for initially and I cant afford any more money to pay for another.

Review: Someone bought a gift from there for my son on December [redacted] 2015;but we didn't like the color So they gave us the receipt, we took it to the store simply to exchange on December [redacted] because the receipt said we have 7 days. However the workers both males, started cursing and saying they're not exchanging it yet the receipt stated it can be exchanged! I asked for the manager, the boss, the owner, I asked for a working phone number and they couldn't provide any legit information! I kept asking why and explaining to them I just want to exchange not refund and one of the males was about to jump over the counter to hit me! The other male worker had to Hold him back! Very disrespectful and I was very scared!Desired Settlement: Every review of this business is rated as a scam and now I understand why! The City needs to take action. I want my money back!

Review: I'm an international student in NY for a year, and this is the first time running into this kind of situation. I think I might as well been targeted as a tourist because the seller kept asking me where I was from.I got cheated in a purchase where the seller said he will sell me a phone for $500 but instead charged $897.97 to my card instead, and when I looked at the breakdown, there were hidden undisclosed charges for unlocking at $199.99 and the "free gift" screen protector he said he would give to me was charged $99.I requested for a refund, and the seller refused. The whole buying process started out well and the guy seemed legit and professional, while I saw the charges on the receipt. I also have a reason to believe the seller was trying to double charge me because I paid by debit using a pin number, but he generated a second receipt asking me for a signature to activate my "warranty". I refused to sign it, and if I did, I might have unwittingly authorised another payment. I tried to file a police report, but the constable said I should go to Consumer Affairs and Better Business as the correct channel. Also the seller guaranteed that what he sold me wasn't an international phone set, but when I checked the contents carefully at home, the charger is a European plug, not American. Now I even question if the phone is a counterfeit. Being Asian, I know there are really authentic looking counterfeits floating around, and you won't know until you bring it for servicing and they tell you there is no such serial number. Also the lifespan of the product is way shorter. They normally start showing signs of breakdown within 4-6 months of use.If the handset is European or fake, then there is no such thing as "warranty" in the first place, so the seller is trying to fraud me into signing for something else. Moreover, I checked the calculations on the receipt and they faked the tax amount. The subtotal was $799.97, and tax was 8.875%. My calculator result is $70.993, which is about $71, but the seller charged me $97.62 for tax.My only resolution so far is contacting my bank to hold the payment and start an investigation.I asked for a refund and was told "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". It is only final is the customer is charged the CORRECT amount. The seller insisted that their receipt says all sales are final no refund, but the receipt actually says:ALL SALES ARE FINAL NO REFUND NO EXCHANGEONLY WITHIN 7 DAYSWhy do 7 days when they don't refund or exchange? Also the phone was brand new bought on the spot, surely they can take it back with no flaws.I also threatened with a police report, but the seller was very confident that I can't do anything about it.Desired Settlement: Ideally I want a complete refund and I am happy to give back the phone set. The main problem is even if the payment is resolved, there are chances that this business can take revenge on me, just to be vindictive, by blocking the IMEI of my phone from their side and render my phone completely useless.I'd rather take the money and go to [redacted] to buy a new set, and it'll be best if all can be settled through Revdex.com without having any face-to-face contact with them.
