Review: I am writing you to collect payment on work State Farm paid out to FGS, but was not completed on my home located at [redacted]. State Farm issued FGS two checks on 01/30/2014, in the amounts of $23,643.03 and $11,771.64. FGS has deposited the check for $23,643.03; the other check has been sitting at US Bank (the Excelsior Drive branch) for a number of weeks waiting for FGS to pick it up. On February 25, 2014, [redacted] emailed to confirm the amount was still outstanding and I have not yet received the payment for the amount of $1,471.49.

Overall, I am very unsatisfied with my experience working with FGS -- specifically the customer service I have received from FGS employees, [redacted] and [redacted]. After a fire destroyed my kitchen, my employer, [redacted], recommended FGS for its restoration services. As a referral, I thought I was in good hands. When I initially met with [redacted] on November 7, 2013 he stated that he would provide an estimate of the damages to my insurance within a week. He also stated that the quote wouldn't be available any sooner because FGS was understaffed and was undergoing some restructuring. He assured me these internal issues would not affect the completion of the restoration. However, a month later, [redacted] from State Farm had to call [redacted] twice to request the estimate as it had been a month since the fire and they had not heard from him.

In addition to poor customer service and lack of time [redacted], the FGS staff managed to damage my mattress during the restoration process even though I provided special instruction that my mattress was a memory foam and not a standard mattress. After the FGS staff had completed cleaning my mattresses, I stopped over and noticed that there was a tear in the mattress. I called [redacted] immediately after I saw what happened and asked him to take a look at the damages. At the time, he accepted responsibility and apologized. As the attached e-mails show, he asked where the mattress was purchased and called the company to see if they still made that model. Now, all of a sudden, [redacted] and [redacted] claim FGS didn't do it and will not accept responsibility for the damage.Desired Settlement: In addition to the $1,471.49 FGS owes me, I request that my king-sized Sealy memory foam mattress gets replaced or I receive reimbursement to replace it. Note: It retailed for $1,129.00 when I purchased it.

To resolve this matter, a payment of $2,600.49 to cover the insurance money paid out for incomplete work and the damage done to my mattress
