Review: My insurance company [redacted], utilized this company as a preferred company for its members, they should stop. The problems I had were excessive and are as follows:

- Claim approved approximately 20 Jun 16. Work did not start until 25 Jul 16 and ended 8 Aug 16. Very little discussion with company until called on 22 Jul stating work would commence the following Monday.

- Disparate pricing - told via email sheathing was purchased for $936, when asked for itemization of bill, sheathing came down to $359.99

- Told a $250 charge for dumpster, already paid for by [redacted], was their "mark-up"

- Itemized bill stated 6 fans and 2 dehumidifiers were utilized, when in actuality, 1 fan and 1 dehumidifier was used . Final bill to [redacted] stated 3 fans and 1 dehumidifier were used

- Ceiling in bedroom taken down do to water damage was left with no cover for over a month, leaving exposed rafters of the roof

- Broken blind and stained curtain from demolition of ceiling, which company was aware of, not replaced or any compensation offered

- When workers arrived to replace the ceiling they were shocked to see the amount of debris left by previous workers

I could go on about the poor customer service and the wallboard left out in the elements over a weekend, but I believe you get the drift. THIS is not a company I would trust to get the job done quickly, efficiently, or with a minimum of problems. If I were a spouse of a deployed service member, dealing with this company would have been nightmarish! As a military retiree [redacted]) it was still a hassle and I would not work with them again.Desired Settlement: I would like the following to be achieved:

- refund of the $250 I paid for an already paid for dumpster

- reimbursement for the broken blind and a set of curtains

I find the complaints unfounded. The dates are fairly accurate but do not reflect the time delay with change orders. The $936.00 for roof sheathing is mistaken. The original amount quoted was $500+ and the actual amount was $359.99 when we didn't have to do as much as we expected. She apparently added those two amounts together to come up with her $936. figure. I would have expected her to be happy that we were able to do it with less than expected and credited her with the difference. As for the dumpster. We were doing half her roof with insurance funds and the other half with her personal funds. The normal charge for a 10 yd dumpster is $250. we used a 20yrd dumpster for both half's of the roof and charged the same as if we had used 2 10 yd dumpsters. I don't see this as a problem. Once started, after all changes and agreements were in place the job only took about 3 weeks. There will be no refund for the dumpster. The claim of difference in the number of fans and dehumidifiers is based on her sisters statement that she only saw us removing 1 of each. Our drying tech recorded what he placed and the billing reflects the same. The wall board she mentions being left out over the weekend was returned to the lumber yard that was to have covered it. No one was available to allow the delivery to be put inside.As for the broken blind and set of curtains, if she had informed us we would have immediately taken action to replace or pay for them. This is the first we have heard of this problem. If she wishes to send us an invoice for the replacement of the blind and curtains we will gladly re-reimburse her for like kind and quality. All of the questioned billing amounts were explained to her, face to face with Ben G[redacted]. She apparently believes otherwise. Respectfully submitted, Ted K[redacted] President

We Are Writing In Reference to Are Experience with First General Services, The Emergency Service Response was very fast From The Time My Wife Called In The Roof Leak To Are Provider Till The Time First General Arrived On Site.

We Were Very Impressed With How Quick And Professional There Field Team Was. I Would Also Like To Add That When There Estimator Arrived Days After To Review The Interior Damage He Was Very Thorough In His Inspection And Took Time With Us In Understanding What Was Going To Happen And The Steps Needed In Making The Work Move Along Quite Smoothly. As Well As Us Understanding What We Were Getting. We Both are Very Satisfied With The Service From First General Services. Thank You [redacted]
