In the end I felt disrespected and ripped off. To me they seem to assume that the pet and security deposits are donations to their corporation. The gates of the "gated community" were broken more than they were functioning, and the stairwells and landings were rarely cleaned. The repair crew were prompt, and some of the upkeep is good, but as for the overall experience, not one I would recommend to anyone.

Review: Sugarmill is charging me to replace a carpet that I documented as disgusting when I moved in (meaning I wrote down that there was gunk stuck to the floor and stains everywhere), they say that my dog peed on 60% of the carpet. However, not only is my dog fully housetrained, but she is kept in a crate when I am not home or I am sleeping. She has never peed on the carpet, yet they took $100 of my money to do the test (which is entirely too much to begin with, you just need a blacklight) then they are charging me $588.00 to replace the carpet that I had said was disgusting when I moved in. I insisted, and still insist, that it was not my dog that ruined the carpet. They did not check for urine before I moved in, and although they insist the previous tenants didn't have pets, I find no other explanation than either they're scamming me or the previous tenant had a pet and failed to report it. Either way, I should not be punished for something that was not my fault in any way.Desired Settlement: I want for them to not charge me for the carpet replacement.
