I have helped her on holidays..Sundays and was Johnny on the spot when she or her family called meI also told her that I started a compressor last year and is seized up which voided the warranty because I cold started itThe Carrier corporation said that a qualified HVAC techshould know better than to start a brand new compressor in temps below degreesI am the expert not herI then called her on 4/17/and said I would be there to start her air.(she always leaves a key) she said that she didn't leave the key and wouldn't be home until after pmI then told her Saturday will probably be better and she agreedIt was degreesShe threatened to call you guys and the Town of GriffithI then instructed her to leave the key Monday and that I would start her Air no matter what the tempwasI made a trip over there searched for keytexted [redacted] and asked her where the key was and she ignored the textShe will be receiving a bill for a service call and My labor warranty is void because another company took care of the unit when temps were below degrees since 4/17/and if she has a compressor problemthat warranty will also be voided because of a cold startI am very disappointed that this job turned out the way it didMy philosophy in business is "The Customer Is Always Right" I will always bend over backwards for my customers as I did for Ms [redacted] That is my responseThank you for bringing this matter to my attention OFFER: Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/05/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) the unit has not been started as the company that I called at the suggestion of the town of Griffith who is licensed to work in the town and is bonded and insured had to fix a leak in the outside line (had to weld)If I get a bill for a service call that was not set up with me, I will be taking this further with an attorneyI am not always in a hurry...I didn't even want the unit put in when it was installedHe asked me to do in March 16, and was at my house at 4p to get a check for $2,I had to pay someone to fix my stair and I'm paying another HVAC company to complete the work that we had two appointments for him to do and he never showed upToo busy to take care of a customer that he has already gotten paid fromRight is on my sideI did nothing wrongHe has not taken care of me or my family as a favor, we paid him for this workThis job was $2,which he has already gotten paid forHe worked in Griffith without pulling a permit and isn't even licensed to work in the town I'm finding outIf I get the unit up and going without further issue, I will not pursue this further because it just frankly is too frustratingI want to keep the complaint open to see if the other HVAC company can get the unit to work

Do your homework and read reviews on Burbs Heating and Cooling before you hire him He does everything bad that they say he does I waited weeks for him to service our A/C which I had already paid him for He never showed up and would not give me back my moneyHe told told me every day for weeks that he would be there the next day and that he is extremely busy He will keep on taking new jobs and not finish what he already has He will claim that he already had bought the parts and cannot return them so he can't give you your money back He is bad news and his business is a scam

Fort Wayne has the same weather we have here. It was too cold to start a compressor in the time period sated in he complaint. I asked her to do the job early because our business is slow in March and April. She said fine. (I have done business with her for over 20 years and I thought we were friends.) I have helped her on holidays..Sundays and was Johnny on the spot when she or her family called me. I also told her that I started a compressor last year and is seized up which voided the warranty because I cold started it. The Carrier corporation said that a qualified HVAC tech. should know better than to start a brand new compressor in temps below 65 degrees. I am the expert not her. I then called her on 4/17/2015 and said I would be there to start her air.(she always leaves a key) she said that she didn't leave the key and wouldn't be home until after 4 pm. I then told her Saturday will probably be better and she agreed. It was 42 degrees. She threatened to call you guys and the Town of Griffith. I then instructed her to leave the key Monday and that I would start her Air no matter what the temp. was. I made a trip over there searched for key. texted [redacted] and asked her where the key was and she ignored the text. She will be receiving a bill for a service call and My labor warranty is void because another company took care of the unit when temps were below 60 degrees since 4/17/2015 and if she has a compressor problem... that warranty will also be voided because of a cold start. I am very disappointed that this job turned out the way it did. My philosophy in business is "The Customer Is Always Right" I will always bend over backwards for my customers as I did for Ms. [redacted]. That is my response. This job was $2,600 which he has already gotten paid for. He worked in Griffith without pulling a permit and isn't even licensed to work in the town I'm finding out. If I get the unit up and going without further issue, I will not pursue this further because it just frankly is too frustrating. I want to keep the complaint open to see if the other HVAC company can get the unit to work.
