First Security did not install the equipment at the residence in questionFirst Security went in and reprogrammed the existing equipment and began monitoring the system in November The customer had flood damage to the home where the security system was installed in June and the home was
guttedThe customer did not have flood insurance to cover the cost of replacing the equipment and the equipment is not covered for natural disasters per the agreement with First Security.Because this electronic equipment was exposed to the floodwaters, there have been issues with the system since it was reactivated as best it could be by First SecurityThe customer refused to pay to replace any of the equipment and therefore First Security has been unable to fix the equipment properlyFirst Security technicians made numerous attempts to get the system functioning properly without charging the customer the $trip fee for each visit per the agreementThe customer has called regarding the system countless times and demanded that someone come immediately to fix itUpon several visits by the installation/service manager, the contractors working to repair the home had even damaged the equipment furtherAgain, there was an attempt each time to get the system workingThis equipment will continue to malfunction because it is damaged and needs replaced.The customer states in the complaint that First Security failed to provide a reliable productThis complaint is unfounded since First Security did not put the majority of the system in the residence because it was first installed by another company and also because the house was then floodedThese are electronic sensors and are going to constantly short out and send alarms due to the water damageA simple solution to the issue would be to replace the equipment but First Security is under no obligation per the agreement to replace these items at no cost.The issue has been resolved with this customer by releasing her from the contract with First Security for monitoring services at the residenceFirst Security was not responsible for the issue that the complaint was filed, but after spending countless hours and trips to try and get the security system working, it was not in the best interest of First Security to continue a working relationship with this customer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I[redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Even though the reason was false.  The flood water did not come near the wiring for t he alarm system.  i'm just glad this is settled...thank you
