Review: Due to the fact that there has been no foreman on this house build from the beginning, several issues have arisen. There's been a well-known problem with erosion since the initial property grade in the front and in the rear of our house. Per the contract on 2/10/12 a front retaining wall would be put in if the grade required it. Once the house was under roof on 5/23/12 it was apparent a retaining wall was necessary. Because the retaining wall was not installed, the erosion continued due to rain and it never fully dried. We purchased a 30' long, 4" wide PVC pipe for [redacted] of [redacted] to run underneath the driveway, so we could connect the front right drain pipe to. At this same time the black, corrugated French drain coming from around the basement was buried under the driveway and ended 3' in with nowhere to drain. We alerted Jerry Jr. to the fact when the retaining wall was being installed but nothing was done. We had to pay a large amount for the drainage to be properly routed and were never reimbursed for these costs. These issues could have been avoided if there had been a foreman onsite overseeing this and the retaining wall was installed when the brick masons were here initially!!! We kindly took a credit for that and the sidewalk as you requested because of a time completion crunch, however we have encountered numerous issues since then. The financial costs far exceed the credits given because of problems that have come up during the process. All of these costs you would have incurred had it been done before closing as contracted. This does not include the many phone calls we have made to the Davidson County Inspections Office and the hoops we had to jump through to get this house to pass final inspection.Desired Settlement: Issue a check in the amount of $2,000 to cover the excessive costs we have incurred per invoice #[redacted] sent on 4/14/2013. Actual amount charged to us was $2,414.13
