First State Fleet Service Reviews (1)

Review: On February 25, 2014 I called [redacted] at First State Fleet Service and advised [redacted] that I was having my 2002 Gold Chrysler PT Cruiser towed there because the vehicle would not start. I had spoken to [redacted] prior to this to let him know what was going on with the car, the efforts I had made to try to get the car to start, which was busy a battery due to battery completely beging short no longer of any use. I told [redacted] that when I put the new battery in the lights, horn, and radio came on but by the second day after putting the battery in the lights, horn and radio came on, but by the second day after putting the battery in, lights, horn and radio no longer worked. I advised [redacted] that I thought it may be something with the wires of the starter or battery. [redacted] told me I had to bring the car in and I had it towed on February 25, 2014 by and [redacted]). On February 28, 2014 I had a call from First State Fleet Service at 5:15pm. I missed the call and no message was left by them. My daughter Wykeem Griffin just so happened to be at First State Fleet Service Picking up her vehicle because I referred her to First State Fleet Service to get her vehicle fixed. My daughter called me from there at 5:28pm and advised me that my vehicle was ready by leaving me a message. On March the 3rd 2014 I called and spoke with [redacted] and was advised my car was ready and the charge was $483.00. She advised me that [redacted] was busy and could not talk. [redacted] told me hold on while she spoke to [redacted] because I advised her that I could not pay that price. [redacted] came back to the phone advising me that [redacted] stated the computer wad gone in the car and the charge for the computer was $300.00 and the labor to fix the car was $183.00. [redacted] advised me that [redacted] stated the he needed the $483.00 before the car could be released. I called back on March 4, 2014 to talk to [redacted] to try to make some arrangements. I spoke with [redacted] again because [redacted] refused to come to the phone. I advised [redacted] that [redacted] did not call me to tell me what was wrong with the car, or how much the cost was. I told [redacted] that I did not have the option to say yes or no to fix the car because he never gave me a price beforehand. as he had in the past. I was not given the option to have the car towed back home or someplace else because [redacted] never gave me the price of parts or labor, before he fixed my vehicle. He refuses to come to the phone any time I call. First State Fleet Service fixed this same car on October 1, 2013 and November 27, 2013 and both times I was advised what was wrong with the vehicle, the cost to fix the car and cost of parts. I ordered my own parts both times, which was a transmission and had the part delivered to the business. [redacted] just charged me $400.00 both times to put in a transmission due to the first transmission being faulty. I asked him to give me a break on the labor the second time he put in the transmission and he refused. I was not given the opportunity to try to get a cheaper computer. First State Fleet Service fixed the car without advising me fo the cost first. I thought that it would be something, simple to fix the car this time and not so costly due to putting in a new transmission, a new starter, a new batter, and replacing the wire from the battery to the cable. I was never given the cost or what was wrong with my vehicle before it was repaired. First State Fleet Service said I cannot get my car until the cost of part and labor of $300.00 for part and $183.00 for labor is paid in full. [redacted] refused to even make arrangements of taking at least $300.00 and $183.00 paid over time. [redacted] refuses to come to the phone and discuss anything with me when I call.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to talk to me and make arrangments to pay for the car, if he did actually repair it. In addition, I need my vehicle due to being disabled and needing to get to doctor appointments.

Business

Response:

I have been in contact with [redacted] and arranged a payment plan until paid in full. We released the vehicle to [redacted] in the last week of April and payments have been made.
