Thank you for reaching out and allowing us to address the concerns raised by Ms***Upon receipt of your e-mail notification of this complaint we notified our client and conducted a reasonable investigation reviewing the account history, employee notes and all media associated with the fileThe [redacted] account was charged off by [redacted] in and subsequently sold by [redacted] to a debt buyerWe of course cannot speak to ***'s record keeping policies and procedures but Ms [redacted] could reach out to them if she is seeking to better understand the origin of the account on which we contacted herWe researched with our client [redacted] what media was available for us to provide Ms [redacted] in order to validate the account and found that what was available was insufficientAs a result, we are requesting cancellation of the account by our client and in accordance with Ms***'s request to cease and desist we are discontinuing efforts to contact herWe trust that this resolution will be satisfactory but Ms [redacted] is welcome to reach out to First Step Group directly if she has additional questions or concerns

Hello Ms***, This complaint does not involve our companyOur company is Financial Recovery Services, Incand not FSGFSG is out of business and our President has already responded to a duplicate complaint from this consumerThanks, Kelli ***

First Step Group, LLC is no longer in business. All accounts serviced by First Step Group, LLC were owned by CACH, LLC and were all managed by Square Two Financial. First Step Group, LLC managed a group of employees that worked from the programs maintained by Square Two Financial and
First Step Group, LLC never maintained any of the records. All payments for any CACH, LLC accounts were managed by Square Two Financial and CACH, LLC Square Two Financial filed for bankruptcy and CACH, LLC was sold during/after the bankruptcy. After the bankruptcy, First Step Group, LLC was also closed and it is no longer in business. Financial Recovery Services, Incpurchased the assets of First Step Group upon its closing

Mr *** account has been closed by our office and our client has been notified about his complaint First Step Group does not report to any of the credit bureaus and we will not attempt any additional communication with him

complaint and conducted a reasonable investigation to determine what next steps should be taken to meet Mr*** concerns.We have determined the best next step is to request that our client cancel Mr*** account If Mr*** would like to enter a discussion about the origin of the account, date it was opened, activity, etc He is welcome to reach out and we will provide him with that information If it turns out the account is not his and stemmed from some error or fraudulent activity we would be happy to facilitate working with Mr*** to make corrections or help him file an affidavit of fraud
