First Transit Courier service Reviews (3)

I have visited the jobsite and while I was onsite I called Mr***We did indeed fail to make the saw cuts he is refering to and I am having that done this weekI have also had the bricks and forms removedThe additioal fee was to enlarge a portion on one of the slabs and not for additional
debris removalThat change was made while our staff was onsiteThe bricks were from an old mail box that was demoed not by our company and left behind the garage it had nothing to do with our work scope however we have removed them from the site per his request. The form material that was used was not hauled off the site because the project manager had a conversation with Mr*** about him keeping the wood he might be able to use itPerhaps there was a mis-communication regarding this and with that not being our procedure I have had that material removed. The dirveway is set with proper slobe to allow water run off from the garageWe slobed the main driveway to match the elevation on the ground so as not to create a large curb on the eastend of the drive and to prevent the need to pour an appoachIt is my understanding that was explained to Mr*** at the time. We use a PSI strength concrete mix Mr*** was informed of this and that we have no need for steel to be placed in the concrete for his intended use

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/23) */
We have been behind and are working to compete this project and balance the costs with the home owner

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/09/01) */
9/1/
We have been in continuing communication with Mrand Mrs***
Our team did leave some debris and trash on the jobsite we sent men back within days to clean that material and remove any debrisOur agreement stated V grooves to
be set into the patio however as large of an area as the patio turned out to be we chose to make several saw cuts after the concrete as set up
There are small surface area cracks and we have been out to examine them and in my conversation with Mr*** explained they are only cosmetic and will in no way effect the strength or function of the patioHis response was "that's not a problem we just want to make sure we get the saw cuts"
Mrs*** expressed some concern about the color not being consistent throughoutI explained to Mr*** that as the patio was being poured it will take time for the concrete to cure and it will change colors, lighter and darker though that processI offered however to Mr*** that after a period of time if for some reason the concrete does not look consistent we would be willing to apply a colored coating
I sent Mr*** a letter via email on 8/stating the small surface cracks are simply remedied
As I stated in the beginning of the reply we have been in communication with the home owners, I did however state to her after repeated texts after 730pm that we will have to discuss the matter the next dayOur staff was with their family's at that time
As of 9/we are planning on reaching out to Mrs*** again to discuss her concerns and develop a plan of resolution
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/09/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have their continuous contact via text message where there were multiple days of no response and promised meetingsI have never discussed a concern with the color of the concrete which is also discussed in those text messages but with the workmanship of the surface and how it was not smoothed out properly and also have this documented via textWe did receive "saw cuts" that do not run from side to side of the concrete and therefor do not serve any purposeAlso it was never decided to leave the v grooves out as they were left out by the individuals they hired to complete the jobThe patio size was discussed prior to the contract agreement and therefor the vgrooves should have been completedI never received any contact on 9/which is documented via my call log and was never told to not contact the company on concrete issues as in the beginning they were easy to contact until we pointed out the issues which were never fully resolved except picking up the debrisWe appreciate the response however it is not the truth and my documented messages have been maintained as we knew this would be the case as they did not follow their contract and are not following the warrantyThe cosmetic issues they are referring to are an uneven surface with brush messes that were discussed to be resolved from resurfacing after the first day it was poured then hairline cracks that spread from one side of the patio to the next after the third day of being poured and now have continued to increase in sizeIf the Contract would have been followed then the cracks would not have increased each day it now has a "spider web" appearanceI requested that they resurface the concrete or redo the patio and was told not at this time but with the way the one month old concrete has cracked it will not hold up much longerAll my pictures that were provided to the company document our concerns and the timeline we continuously requested a solution
