The home of her deceased mom was sold by her and title to the house was transferred in January 2017.  Unfortunately, she decided to sell the house without paying the loan owed to the Credit Union. She failed to respond to requests for payment of the loan, so foreclosure was commenced.

Review: debt was written off but is still showing as open and past due on my credit account

In 2007 I bought a car, it was repossessed in early 2008. the debt was eventually written off as bad debt and I received a 1099 from the creditor. The written off debt was counted as income, so I paid the taxes that resulted from it. Since the account was written off and taxed as income it is no longer legal to report the account to the credit bureaus. The account is being actively reported to the credit bureaus every month. I am requesting that the account be removed from my credit report immediately.
